My 76yo father lost thirst and hunger and become weak suddenly for 3 days, now he has been diagnosed with kidney dysfunction

 

Doctors are giving the usual bs talk that besides kidney replacement or dialysis there is nothing to do. What supplements improve kidney function/filtration rate?

L-Ornithine is an amnio acid you may want to reserach if you have journal reserach ability. Check the peer reviewed journals. I cannot find at the moment I was researching what I could do to help my cat.

You may want to look at vitamin B1 unfortunately if someone takes say 100mg of B1 as thiamin HCL or thiamin mononitrate only a small amount

is actualy used. But there is  a much more bioavalable form of B1  ( benfortamine ) when used in large doses like 250mg several

times a day has been shown to halt and sometimes reverse kidney dammage and it's rather cheap.
