Over the last week (interspersed with  some small bumps that  have induced re-injury) since I've had a  concussion I've tried ALCAR and PC for neuroprotection, and both have induced some mood boost/borderline euphoria.  They normally do not have this effect on me.

I know that ach is elevated and involved with secondary injury after TBI and that ALCAR and PC can both elevate brain ach levels.

I'm very anxious that this  euphoria/mood boost means I've been increasing ACH neurotoxicty every time it happens. Is this fear warranted? Should I avoid these until out of the acute phase?

On the other hand, there's this study: https://pubmed.ncbi....h.gov/21228558/ which shows a neuroprotective effect of ALCAR in rats post TBI.
