Hi there...I am a 42 year old pretty healthy male. My HA1C came back at 5.7 so I asked my doctor if I could be put on a CGM preventatively, to which he agreed. I have been hearing different things from different doctors online. Dr. Peter Attia will say for example that your blood sugar should NEVER go above 140mg/dl, whereas another doctor I saw online said that it's ok if you go above 140mg/dl as long as you are normalized within 2 hours after a meal. For longevity purposes, should the goal be to never go above 140mg/dl at all, or is it ok to just eat and spike up, as long as once the 2 hour period passes, your blood glucose is normal?
