Hi all.  I just started this taurine two days ago.   Last night my kidneys went nuts.  Seemed like I was suddenly diabetic with 4 trips to the restroom in 9 hours.

 

Normally my labs are optimal.  I started rapamycin 3 weeks ago and have felt so much better!  So I'm wondering if it is the taurine or sirolimus.  Should receive a urine dipstick tomorrow.

 

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the feedback but not sure there.  Will try taking taurine again.

 

It's definitely not the rapamycin.  Still on it and doing well!

I can't find a clear mechanism of action for taurine.  It is a non-essential amino acid that the body makes and uses.  It seems to be another strong means of reducing oxidative stress.
