Hello,

I am 51 already... it is amazing how time flies. I still feel young but I also start feeling the weight of the years...

I took in the past the well known Life Extension two per day multivitamin, usually for a few months before stopping. Now, I would like to get more serious about my supplements. Find below the list I came up with:

- Life Extension two per day, 2 capsules

- Ubiquinol, now foods, 200mg

- High Absorption Curcumin, Dr Best, 1000mg

- Probiotics, Lactobif, 30 billions

- Calcium Citrate, 1000mg

- Life Extension EPA/DHA, 720+480mg

May i know what you think of those additions (as well as the brands I selected). Are there some overlaps and importantly, should I add some other supplements?

Thanks a lot to the community!

Comprehensive supplementation for the long term is expensive and requires continuous efforts, but with certain individual biochemically not even needed. Think of those smoking, drinking and junk food eating, reaching ripe age in good health.

If you don't have any symptoms of specific age related disease, I would first try to get an as varied as possible blood-panel: Inflammation and glycation markers, thyroid, sex, and stress related hormones, electrolytes, CBC, 25(OH)D3, liver and kidney enzymes, etc.

And from those results, add what is most pressing first.

LEF Two-per-day is quite low on Magnesium, perhaps the most important mineral to supplement. If you can find some Magnesium-L-Threonate that would be the ideal form.

Personally I keep at least one adaptogen in my daily regimen. I would suggest Jiaogulan as herbal adaptogen, tonic and possibly life-extending substance.

Thanks, i should indeed probably add 100 to 200mg of magnesium.

Could other participants share their views on my regimen? cost is not a limitation as my health if more important than anything else. Please comment sharing your views as I have limited experience.

Thanks to all for your precious contributions.
