Hi all,

 

I have heard amazing things about the HDAC inhibitor Vorinostat (yes, the cancer medication) for anxiety and fear reconditioning even at low doses. With long lasting, permanent changes to the fear response without having to continually dose.

 

I have long suffered severe anxiety and, HPA axis dysfunction. After some mild success with sodium butyrate (a weaker HDAC inhibtor), I would really like to give this a shot. Does anyone have experience with this? 

 

Does anyone have a source, or know of any group buys?

Sodium butyrate operates in the millimolar range and Vorinostat in the nanomolar range there are loads in the micromolar range.  I haven't done a class analysis, but there are loads such as curcumin, quercetin, pterostilbene etc.

Hi! I've just posted a long comment on my vorinostat use. I wanna mention my source here too, because I know it's hard to find. I've ordered mine from aniracetam.eu - it's basically a guy or a couple of people, selling stuff they would want to buy themselves too. They just recently stocked vorinostat, and to me, it seems legit. They seem to be held a reputable vendor on Reddit, check them out.

Ambeed and Doug Discovery (reputable in post grad working community) both sell vorinostat for ok prices. Like 300-400usd for 25grams. Not sure if you would need to start a business e.g. LLC or if they would sell for personal research if you are not in the profession.

Alternatively, it's possible to synthesise it yourself with equipment and expertise.

Or outside of the above remit, you could try Chinese sources and then get the powder analysed by Jano (costs about 300usd to get the vorinostat third party tested).

It's a shame that they have so many off target side effects with high dosages - bone marrow loss; which consequently makes it a good choice for blood cancers.

Other more targeted HDACi drugs are expensive from the above reputable chemical suppliers.

Having said the above as long as you monitor blood levels whilst on vorinostat you should be completely fine.
