Pfizer Hires Top FDA Official Just Weeks After She Leaves Agency

She was at Pfizer before she came to the FDA in 2018. Now she's gone back to Pfizer as their Chief Medical Officer.

How strenuously does one reckon she regulated Pfizer during her 6 year tenure at the FDA given that going back to that company at a very high paying position (she will make millions per year in that role) must have been in the back of her mind?

Everyone that thinks the FDA is being run for the benefit of the public rather than the drug companies raise your hands.

(not raising my hand)

And yet, a lot of people still believe that everything that was said and approved, every policy and every drug/vaccine, during the COVID debacle was the "god's-honest truth". The scale of deception and unethical behavior by "health" bureaucrats during the COVID panic was unfathomable.

This has simply got to stop. There is no longer even the appearance of legitimacy here.

This is basically "post factum bribery". If you, in your role at the FDA regulate us favorably, then when you leave there is a nice cushy multi-million dollar position waiting for you back here at your drug company of choice. If you're eyeing that C-suite position at a drug company down the road, there is no way in hell you're going to aggressively regulate that company and spoil that deal.

There has always been corruption in government. But it seems like in the last decade or two we've entered a new era where they don't even go through the motions of trying to look like they are honest. They flaunt the corruption in front of our eyes.

If the FDA can't be run any better than this, let's do away with it entirely. At least that will give some clarity as to what the true situation is.
