I've been using it for nearly a year. So far, thumbs up. Tangible benefits. In fact, last week I increased my dosage by 50%.

Hey Duke, what are the tangible benefits you have seen?

Tangible benefits are more flexibility, lower blood pressure, and my girlfriend says reduced lines around the eyes.

Interesting. My flexibility has increased significantly after taking pomegranate extract (not 100% sure that is the cause).

I've taken pom extract standardized for ellagic acid and didn't notice much improvement in flexibility. Now I notice a pom extract that is water based and extracted for punicosides. Are you taking either one of these and at what dose?

Yes, I'm taking Pom40p water based extract standardized for 40% punicosides. I take 100 mg 4 to 5 times a day. This is about equal to 4oz of juice 4 to 5 times a day (16 - 20 oz total).

Pomegranate has researched benefits for:
atherosclerosis, hypertension, cancer, and is a potent antioxidant

Here is a pubmed abstract showing the 30% reduction in artery plaque:

Haven't checked. Heart rate is so variable (well, so is BP), that I do not measure it. If it were to improve 2 beats / minute, I'd never know.

For me, taking bacopa causes a significantly lower resting heart rate and makes my sinus arythmia more pronounced.

The more I read about ALT-711 the more I like it. I really got high hopes for this supplement. Can't wait till it gets here so I can start trying it.

Ok, next question. What's the difference between ALT-711, and PhenCarLE?

PhenCarLE contains ALT-711, I believe 40mg per capsule. It also contains other glycation breakers, like carnosine.

This seems like it's tailor made for me. My blood pressure is up, my stamina is down. My flexibility is decreasing. Erectile function is declining, and at 53 I'm not getting any younger. If this keeps up it's going to be hard to make it to a 1000.

Sorry, this sounds like something that should be addressed by lifestyle instead of supplementation. Have you had any blood tests?

My doctor checks me about 3 time a year for cholesterol and triglycerides. My triglycerides are always low. HDL is around 41 to 45.
LDL is high at about 220.

My doctor thinks the high LDL is probably hereditary, because he doesn't think I'm overweight, and I work out a lot (he's usually there beside me). That being said I'm not nearly as militant about what I eat as many on this forum, especially dukenukem. I am working in that direction though.

My blood pressure is very high, not yet under control even though I'm taking 4 medications to help it.

Nice post dukenukem... btw you're one of my picks for best poster of 2006.
My supp picks in no order:
AOR Ortho Core, AOR Ortho Methyl, AOR Age Amadori, AOR R+(SR), Acetyl L-carnitine or AOR ortho mind, AOR SAMe 400, Fish Oil, Resveratrol (currently using Biotest Rez-V), a stable probiotic and then #10 would be the various phytochemicals that have proven themselves in studies... ie extracts such as green tea, turmeric, grape seed, ginkgo.... so actually it is hard to keep it within a top 10 for me, but you get the point.

Ha ha...thanks. We are we placing votes! ;-)

But seriously, today I was interviewed by Men's Journal, a fairly large publication here in the US. The topic was about resveratrol. The writer had researched for people using it, and found my posts in this forum, and then got in touch with me. I represented pretty well and gave the guy a lot of juicy quotes. The good news is that he seemed already sold on resveratrol, so it should be a positive piece.

Also, I'm quoted several times in the current issue of The Economist (the one with George Washington on the cover -- in the special section about physics in games), and several national game magazines (almost always the case). The fun never ends. :-)

I was contacted by this guy, but I didnt reply because I'm currently NOT taking Resveratrol and i wouldnt have been able to put up a good piece of information like you did.
Looking to read that article, though ;)

Actually, I don't. But this is the only public source I can find. I buy mine in powder form and have to make pills -- something I hate to do, btw.

I too would like to see a bulk powder form, but as I understand it's a grey market chemical at best, I won't even refer to it as a supp. I've made several inqueries to a number of comapnies and all have declined. A few catered to bodubuilders and thus were more likely to carry grey market type stuff under hte research chemical label but they won't touch this for some reason.

It's been 24 hours since receiving my first bottle of PhenCarLE. Yesterday I took 7 capsules, but my plan is to take 6 a day. I think it's to early to notice results, but I'm suspicious of several so far. I'm not going to mention them till more time goes by and I get a better feel for what this stuff does for me. So far I haven't noticed any negative side effects.

Keeping in mind I'm 53 and weigh 210 lbs at this time. I usually take my Blood pressure meds at 12 and 12 so I haven't taken any this morning. I took 3 capsules of PhenCarLE this morning when I got up on an empty stomach. Right now my BP is much lower than it usually is at this time on day. My heart rate seems unaffected. Anything that can lower my BP is the shizzile.

In short, I have signed a confidentiality agreement which does not allow me to disclose any additional information. I strongly recommend that you contact Paul Wakfer (paul@morelife.org) if you want more information. Tell him Scott sent ya. :-)

It would be interesting to know what the source(s) of the ALT711 in PhenCarLE are.

The story of LEnutr and at least one of its principals is a little colorful. In a previous incarnation though, Rizzer did source bulk powder ALT711 from the same place as an other more private and less conspicuous source.

I have dealt with LEnutr for two orders and was satisfied with the service. I can say I am well acquainted with the taste of generic ALT711 from about every source it has been available from in the last 5 years. PhenCarLE "tastes" right for what ever that's worth.

Is anyone still taking ALT-711?

I note the release on LEF: "the end of Alagebrium?"

"Alagebrium is an AGE-breaker, a compound that dissolves some forms of advanced glycation end-products (AGEs), compounds implicated in the damage of aging. Unfortunately, the specific types of AGEs affected by alagebrium, also known as ALT-711, are more important in rats than humans. The promising results in animals were never replicated in human studies. It now seems that the company running human trials to find some beneficial use for alagebrium is giving up the ghost: "Synvista Therapeutics, Inc. today announced that, following a review of its clinical development portfolio and its current financial status, the Board of Directors and management have determined that it is in the best interest of the Company to focus its resources on maximizing the value of its diagnostic assets and to terminate all ongoing clinical trials of its product candidates alagebrium ... In light of the Company's cash position and current negative economic and capital markets conditions, if the Company is unable to enter into such transactions in a timely manner, the Company's ability to continue operations beyond the second quarter of 2009 is in doubt."
