woops!

Sorry about that. We are making some changes, and it probably was not copied over.

Also, per the "cease and desist" letter we received from Biotivia today, we are taking them out of the price watch list again. They simply needed to email me and opt out. It also appears to be the same argument from 2007 for those who have been on this board in the past:

(Aug 2007)http://www.imminst.o...p?act...&hl=&s=
This was a bit lengthy, but we had received an email regarding the products. So we decided to take them out at that time because of the emails from Biotivia.

(Dec 2007) Just to clear this up a bit, it appears that in December 2007 the competitors were doing just fine again:
http://www.imminst.o...o...st&p=212033

(Feb 2008) Here it appears that Biotivia asked us to be on the list again per the old Yahoo forums:
http://www.imminst.o...t...&pid=222924

But for now, we will abide by their wishes regarding the 'comparison' in the price watch list, so if folks ask why we do not have them on the list... they simply asked to be taken off of the list. I will make these changes soon, as we have done this in the past for other products.

In the end, I think this forum should strictly talk about resveratrol benefits, without mentioning a companies name. If folks want to be taken out of the price watch, simply email me to opt out. So far with this latest "cease and desist" letter attached (its not copyrighted so I can share it), a total of 2 companies have opted out, while others (More than 5) have asked me to include them on the price watch list.

Cheers

A

Does Revgenetics still sell their 100 g regular bulk powder? Every time I've gone to the the website, it says out of stock?

Thanks

Hi pycnogenol,
I will add it sometime today. Thanks!

Matzi, we are waiting for a COA from the lab before releasing any of the powder for manufacturing, I also think there are some others that have powder on the price list if you need it right away.
Cheers

Anthony

We aren't putting creams on the list yet.

There are no details of the amount of ingredients in the creams, so it's impossible to tell what is a good cream at this time.

Hello,

I found this Australian company selling a resveratrol based product. Can they please be added to the pricelist?

Caston,

I can't find the amount of Trans-resveratrol in the product, or product label. It can have 1mg for all I know, so if you have a link to something I can verify, I can't place it on the price list.

thanks

Thanks Caston,

can you PM me theri email address, and I will ask for a COA for their product, or an image of the label. I can only accept these two, and at the minimum what is shown on the label as that is what the FDA goes by, if there is ever an investigation.

thanks
Anthony

I have emailed the folks at Lixir, hopefully I can get a label image or COA.

I have edited the price list:

1- I moved the product price from the right side of the price list to the left side, next to the "Final Price Per Gram" column. The price sheet continues to be sorted by the column "Final Price Per Gram" so that folks can find the best values, but the product prices are now right next to this column in case they want to consider a balance between value and initial price.

2- I added row numbers so that it is easier to see what row a product is listed on:
For example ResV is found at row 81, while Megaresveratrol is found at row 16, while Country life is on row 27.

I hope these changes make it a bit easier when doing your own comparisons, as the list is quite large now.

thanks

ok, it appears to only have 80mg of trans-resveratrol, and the serving size is 2 capsules for that amount.
I will add it to the price watch soon, thanks.

COA is attached. We'd like to get a third party test for heavy metals, etc soon as well.

Thanks for this great thread.

Any updates on the heavy metal testing?

I would love to purchase this if it proves low in all Heavies!

EDIT: Sorry for stating something not specific to price.

I added the Life Extension 250mg caps to the list.

BTW: I never did hear from Lixir Products. From what I gather from the label that is shown on the website, their product has 100mg of polygonum cuspidatum extract, and no resveratrol is mentioned on the front of the label. For all I know, it may not have any.

I purchased two bottles of T-Rez from Nutraplanet. They have a price of $34.99 for 60 pills with 400mg of 98% Trans Resveratrol from giant knotweed. It's shown as a special price, down from $59.90 So far I am very pleased. I never saw a heavy metal report here, but the COA was posted earlier in this thread. At one point they were listed in the price watch, but I don't see it in the list.

Curious,

When researching resveratrol, there are now many products, but I would like to clarify a few things with the experts on this forum. I have seen reference to trans, so I am assuming this is the preferred type of resveratrol, so why is this, what makes trans-rv better? What is the actual best resveratrol is what I am trying to identify. Is it Red Grape derived which is what all the original lab studies were using, or is the Chinese Polygonam Cuspitatum Root which I see on most new entries into the market? Labels are a bit misleading as many do not even identify where the source of resveratrol is from.

Thanks,
