Actually, one reason I heard talked about on the radio involves the solar cycle.

Our sun is at an unprecedented level of solar activity, putting out a lot more ultraviolet light than usual.  This light is invisible to us, but is blinding to bees.  They see in that band and it's at a level where they are having difficulty navigating to and from their hives.

They need sunglasses. :)

Seriously though, we need to keep an eye on this.  Bees are vital to our survival and if they die out, we die out.  We need to find a way to protect them long enough for the solar cycle to return to normal in a few years.

That explains the "blue haze" that hurts my eyes if I go out side without my glasses.

If this is true, then crop production will also decrease because ultaviolet light will kill the micros in the soil.
Plants need micros to help break down the nitrogen in the soil.
So no bees and no micros means a very bad year for crops.

Also it will be a bad year for skin cancer. Be safe and wear a sun block if working outside.

You may be a tetrachromat. Actually, we might all be (with the exception of the colorblind).

there's something odd about bee's and wasp's (and other similar ones) they seemed to be attracted to my house specifically my room. they try to get in via my window for whatever reason and it is scaring me. More so than other insects.
