I just got around to viewing all the pics in this thread. Nice to see your face. For so many years you tried to hide it. How does it feel to be more open now?

I like the flower pics. I tend to think getting exercise outdoors in the summer working in the dirt would be good for your overall health.

Yeah, you’ve been here since the beginning. You remember Bruce trying to get a face shot of me and I wasn’t going for it. If were not for the cancer I would have never posted the face shots, but I thought with so many people willing to help and give, I owed it to the to be able to put a face to the name. But it’s kinda like unmasking Kiss.

Besides, big strong healthy guys like Cnorwood now know I’m a scrawny little guy, so I’m definitely going to have to avoid things like conventions. You see Mind, when it comes to physical toughness, there are two types of people: there are people like me . . . and then there are people like Cnorwood who can beat the crap out of people like me. Until now anonymity has allowed me to lash out at people while leaving me plenty of time to run away and hide if things get out of hand.

Anonymous posting allows us to get very angry and abusive with people who can’t punch us in the nose at that very minute. Posting a pic is bound to be a dangerous situation, especially for a scrawny person like myself. I like to cleverly calculate the precise amount of insult that will make someone think about tracking me down and beating me up, but not mad enough to actually do it. The trouble is, there’s a fine line between being almost hunted down and actually hunted down.

That's some fine specimens,

Thanks

I may have to bounce back some pics of my own gardens.

Please do.

This was my sunflower bed, early in the season.

Tardy as ever here's an early picture of my back garden in the early stages with Sunflowers on one side and Roses, Carnations etc down the other. The beds are much fuller now so I'll show you those soon.

I’ve seen your prize-winning vegetables Mind, that red pepper really had a nice hue. Much like you Mind, grew up on a farm (not a for profit farm) but that’s my reason for never wanting to grow another vegetable in my life. I will be happy if I never have to hoe another roe of corn. Flowers on the other hand are very inspirational, and I had a blast growing all the different varieties that I grew. I currently don’t own my own dirt so any kind of gardening is out for the time being.

I’m all set with other various farm experiences that I have had. With the exception of driving a tractor, anything with wheels and a motor is fun, I would rather not lift another bail of hay, smell fresh manure spread on a field, hear a roster crow first thing in the morning, watch a chicken get it’s head cut off, and get chased by a bull. ;) I like to safely get my meat from a case at the grocery store, and cull through the already grown veggies at the market. :p

Here's the same beds now after a lot of work from me (I too know the joys of moving and manually digging in tons of "aged" manure), and a lot of creativity from my wife.

Base wall and first row. I used a unique three color scheme for the side wall.

There is gold flake on the gold blocks, red flake and silver on the other blocks, the pictures don’t show it very well.

This type of dry wall system is only supposed to go up to 2 feet, and it’s against the law to build a wall over 4ft without a permit. Any guess as to high my wall was. ;)

It's been so long that I'm having trouble figuring out how to post an answer here. This idea of "physical size = physical security" is totally outdated. A scrawny First Immortal could just pull out a shotgun & blow away anyone who showed up. Besides, I think most human combat is psychologically based & not dependent on physical size. When I was picked on as a kid, I found picking up a good-sized brick really evened the "playing field". In college, I once challenged this creep who was so physically superior to me that he had actually help me upside down (by my ankles) in front of a urinal to a duel. I had a real set of pistols. Not only did he back down from an equal fight (with pistols), he never harassed me again.

quote) I just can’t seem to find a doctor who is willing to help me take advantage of this. (quote) This is one of the biggest problems in medicine today. Physicians have far too much control over treatments patients receive. People should have the right to manage their own treatment without the censorship of a physician.

Thank you Shonghow,
Yes, I believe in the cancer-fighting effects of megadoses of Vitamin C and other antioxidants. Pharmacologic ascorbic acid concentrations selectively kill cancer cells.
Clinical studies showed that high-dose vitamin C, given by intravenous may improve symptoms and prolong life in patients with terminal cancer. Recent evidence shows that oral administration of the maximum tolerated dose of vitamin C (18 g/d) produces peak plasma concentrations of only 220 µmol/L, whereas intravenous administration of the same dose produces plasma concentrations about 25-fold higher. Larger doses (50–100 g) given intravenously may result in plasma concentrations of about 14 000 µmol/L. At concentrations above 1000 µmol/L, vitamin C is toxic to some cancer cells but not to normal cells.

There are well-documented cases of advanced cancers, confirmed by histopathologic review, where patients had unexpectedly long survival times after receiving high-dose intravenous vitamin C therapy.(quote) I just can’t seem to find a doctor who is willing to help me take advantage of this. (quote)

I had been a non-smoker for years when I got the cancer, but I was once a smoker. I’m not sure how tall I am. My weight, I track that everyday, but height, I’m not sure.

I hope you recover,Do you believe in the cancer-fighting effects of megadoses of Vitamin C or other antioxidants? Some doctors claim to have used large quantities of it both intravenously and orally and been able to cure late-stage cancer. Do you smoke? I reacted because it's unusual to get lung cancer without excessive smoking.
How tall are you?

"There is nothing wrong in taking risks Shannon. We take risks, not to escape life but to ensure that life does not escape us."

Now, that is the best reply I've heard yet in these exchanges. It's a great philosophical answer to the medical caution of "first, do no harm"! Was that original?

I do roller derby, I love the speed, the danger-the aggression ;) My name is CryoGirl # -320, I love having the crowd cheer "Cryo, Cryo, Cryo" lots of fun--but yeah, I get injured a lot more than the average person (yeah statistics ARE fun :) ). People must have some loves and challenges in life... I admire people with the passion to excel in their respective fields of interest.

I like the flag added to the flowers. However, it brought to mind a mundane pragmatic question--especially since you are a Libertarian. Given your circumstances, are you going to vote via absentee ballot ASAP so you have some imput into this current election? Or do you think voting is just an exercise in futility. Personally, I passionately want to see Obama-Biden win. However, I'm not sure how I'd feel about voting in an election which would only affect those who outlived me.

Hey Sentinel, these are some flowers William O'Rights style.
