We totally should go for it.If anyone wants to stop over right now, I wouldn't mind getting opinions on if we should go for the Google money (similar to AMEX).

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend myself - really sorry for that but I really can't help it this time. I'll leave my chat logger open so that I can read over it later and make the notes.

Im going to be going over getting involved as a recruiter for MFURI in coming meetings. I was going to go into it a lot more today but some stuff has come up.
Basically we need you to help find students to talk to about signing up for projects and funding through MFURI.
Ill direct interested people to the modules, you take them and if you pass then your an official MFURI recruiter.
There is more lingo to it but Im still learning it. Its something we can go over in these meetings. There are mentors and advisors and everything. Once you pass the modules we contact biology clubs and students and the like and get them interested. We then send them to a page they fill out and Kelsey directs them to the right mentors and senior advisors from there.
We can try different things and figure out the most successful stratagies for getting students interested and contacting schools and getting them set up with info racks and stuff like that.
If you are interested let us know, stop by these meetings, we need you there. Life extension is happening. Its not a matter of it might not happen any more, it is happening, we just need more people to grab onto paddles and help us row this behemoth up this stream to success.

Today we'll talk about the MFURI interview. We'll also go over this meetings structure again and gain ideas on that.
We are looking for promoters, we have a secretary, might be able to use two secretaries, and we will probably outline a system to pass off the baton from week to week for people to find items to bring or bring items they already have as agendas to the table and head up the meeting.
We will also be going over the MFURI volunteer training course modules link. We'll look for recruits at this meetings, brainstorm on how to find more, and discuss a good way to spread the MFURI modules link, like say a page, a forum topic, a widget, a banner, etc...
If you will be at the meeting then state your interest here to show support for it.

"Innovation occurs for many reasons, including greed, ambition, conviction, happenstance, acts of nature, mistakes, and desperation. But one force above all seems to facilitate the process. The easier it is to communicate, the faster change happens."
A lot of people also keep the chat box open when they are online and chat about life extension projects and stuff on and off all day, especially hours before and after meetings. There are a few of us in there now if you want to help throw ideas around and help get more progress to pile up.

Besides main mfuri points Ide like to discuss possible ways to promote and organize this, if anybody goes there for the discussion.
For example, maybe more, maybe less is good, like there could be a "30 minutes to meeting" bump topic, or maybe a bump topic for all the meetings with the entire schedule in it could be made thats called maybe, "upcoming meeting today" or something. Im pretty certain of one thing though, that if none of that happens, at the least we should redo the intro wording. If anybody wants to make the bump topic content more concise then please do list suggestions and we will discuss whether to implement it or not.

A little collaboration can go a long long ways. Why just a few of us could for example, to brainstorm off the top of my head, save up some money and rent a good old fashioned billboard in the heart of a bio engineering orientated college town. This stuff can be off the top of our heads and be effective and we can get it done.
Imagine what will be done as more small teams like this form and get more into it, research ideas, brainstorm, call in specialists to help with parts of projects and stuff. This reminds me of the Henry Ford quote that said something like, "I didnt have to know a lot about cars and business, I just had to surround myself with a lot of people who did."
We can call a billboard specialist, we can contact bio clubs and sell the mfuri idea to them, there is a lot to be done and we can do it now. I hope to see you in there.

If anybody reads this and is interested then we can talk about it in the meeting coming up here. I would do it but Ive got about a million tasks that Im juggling right now. This would be great for somebody that would like something straightforward to buckle down on to help with.
They could secretary the meeting giving updates, they could make a listing of all the volunteers, they could list their projects and how they are coming along, or whatever. That would all have to be brainstormed up and discussed. Any ideas?

I cannot attend today because apparently you cant mention other internet broadcast channels in ustream or the server bot bans you. It was kind of funny as well as aggravating, somebody said, "4chan is much busier," and then dissapeared and I said "where did you go? what is 4chan?" and I got banned. I hear it takes 3 days for it to clear. We'll see. Rember though, dont write any other broadcast channel names in there at all.
In any case, please attend the meeting and leave notes at the MFURI team meeting topic.
One thing to be discussed is that we need more volunteers to help market this to students. If you want to help with that then fill out this short application here.

Has anyone else noticed what Brokenportal mentioned about being banned? Seems like a strange policy.
They probably have a major problem with spam bots stealing their members. I didnt realize that they would consider doing something like that, I mean, I got tricked, cant others? Also, many people mention things like that accidentally and in other contexts. I have no idea if say, "flyingfish" for example, is another broadcast channel or not. Im going be kind of weary about that. I tried it in another room though. I mentioned "justin.tv" which is another net broadcast channel, and I was immediately banned from that room too. I was talking to a guy, hes the patato chip guy I was talking about, he calls himself "E-tard" of all things, and he said that he thinks it takes about 3 days for the ban to lift or that it may lift if the creator of the room clears out the room and restarts it. Im kind of glad I was banned though, its gotten me back into keeping more discussions going in the forums again.

Bring your ideas and questions.
Aubrey has 7 approaches to engineering an end to aging. Ive been thinking, why doesnt somebody outline 7 more possible ways to research those things? I would consider support for 100 versions of sens. Is this feasable? Please let me know what you think about this.
