I just read the bio of Sanjay Gupta and a review of his book
'Chasing Life' , what a pleasant surprise, he's interested in life extension.
An excerpt of his book. Some ideas and questions:
We might work on getting articles published at some major health portals. Asking/E-mailing doesn't hurt even if they refuse.
This time around we need someone to PM/e-mail all imminst members, it's a waste of time to selectively PM hundreds of members (which I did in round #1), if it can be done that easily.
Let's try once again to get into Kurzweil's newsletter? Support from lef, alcor do they have newsletters? Lef publishes an e-magazine as far as I know.
How's the youtube-video going? It'd be great if it was up at the 9th, I'd really like to start pushing it up the ranks. Youtube is quite a powerful tool.
Recruitment on other boards? If you post on other non-related boards try to advertise the project in your sig, but I think anything else is a waste of time. I don't think I recruited many people in round 1 from other communities. Maybe one can try to recruit on science/medicine boards.
Once again publish an article on digg.com, but we'd need 100-400 diggs to make an impact, no?
Support from Larry Ellis*n and O*acle? Any chance?
Who's funding some of the advertising? Members? Thank you brokenportal! Imminst, mfoundation? If the mfoundation and imminst together invested something like 10k$ and then the project won at least 100k$, well that's what I call a win-win situation. If we don't win, we still got to advertise our cause!
Just tell me anything else I can do. I'll try to help.
