today I was at the dentist and hairstylist and everyone thought I am like 15 or 16 :D
It was funny ^^
His assistant asked me old I am and I said 20! she looked at me with those big wide eyes "noooooo!" "yes!" "much younger! you are tiny and cute! :O" ^^
Then the dentist came and asked how old I am, I said 20 :D "No way!" "That's what I said" (his assistant) it was ufn :)
When he looked at my teeth he was like "ok according to your wisdom teeth you are 20" boo :X

The teeth rarely lie.

Hahaha. Well she always get mistaken for being 16, at a job interview not long ago they thought she was only 16.... is only 1 photo :) Early 20's... ur nuts LOL. She gets the same comments from people as I do, people when they see her don't believe her age and always mistake her for being in her teens.

I also went for a job interview before, it was just at the job center and two other guys were in the room aswell, they were 17-18 and I was about 23, anyway they thought I was the youngest, the women said to me "I thought you were only 16!" lol kind of funny at the time :p

I see a lot of 20+ girls in Finland who look the same age as her. 15-16? No way. I would've guessed 22-24. But of course, if she wears pink Snoopy t-shirts in real life, then it's no surprise she gets taken for under 20.

Another J.leto.. This dude visually hasn't aged a bit.. I wonder if there's any botox involved, as it's just too good to be true..

Well he's a health nut as i'm sure you know. So again, lifestyle. Why do people think that a specific age leads to a uniform condition for everybody? Are they afraid of taking responsibility for the way they age? Even facial aging can be significantly altered by diet and exercise alone.

Nope, I didn't know this (about Mario Lopez). Have some articles where he talks about a diet or something like that?

As far as his diet goes I know he eats granola, rice, fish and apparently 'splurges' on some not so healthy foods sometimes but his diet menu appears to me as if he doesn't eat all that much. But it could just be a sampling. As far as I know his diet is 98% 'healthy'. But we're also talking about someone who probably works out about 9 hours a week at least.

It's the smooth, unblemished skin.
So, half the part of looking young is Retin-A, occasional acid peel to stimulate collagen production and sunscreen to prevent damage.

If he doesn't do those things though, then it would truly be quite amazing.

In fairness he does have a few slight depressions in his face that are typical of people over the age of 40 or so but I am rather impressed with the smooth overall texture of his skin. He said he has been into 'whole foods' and raw dieting since the 70s? Maybe that has quite a bit to do with it. Maybe he'd look even younger if he used sunblock all those years. Maybe proper dieting is 70% and skincare is the other 30%?

I've read that UV damage is 80% the appearance of aging. It makes you wonder what someone with only AGE related damage would look like at 60 or 70?

What I find impressive about his appearance and age is that during the 60s and 70s, the dangers of sun-exposure was not well known. People, such as my dad, loved the sun and would spend lots of time outdoors unprotected and they all have bad skin as a result. This was probably more common for people who were "hippies" or into "natural living." If this man managed to escape much of that UV damage, as it appears he did, it is impressive.

Regarding Jared Leto and others you have posted, noticed how pale he is? UV avoidance has likely played an important role in maintaining his appearance.

No matterwhat, his skin condition (and overall face complexion) is amazing at that age. It's just hard to believe he's 60+.. Madonna looks far worse without make up, even with all the fillers in her face, and she's younger..  And this dude could wake up in the morning, go outside without combing his hair and still look like he's 35 or 40 (35 with the right clothing)..

I remember that story about kidnaped girl (we discussed it here).. Not from the horse mouth, but somebody said she looks almost unchanged, and extremly young at 28 or so, possibly due to very little sun exposure as she was basically "jailed" in a dark backyard...

And yes, seems like he doesn't tan much, so that may be one of the reasons.

But then again Mario Lopez does not appear to avoid the sun. But he is also of Latin descent and may have an artificial tan. I still think diet plays a significant role here. There was that thread about how much glycation contributes to aged skin too.

yea that picture has apparently become very popular all over the internet. It seems to incite a response that is equal parts gleeful and yet creepiness. Young females seem particularly responsive to it. I wonder how many myspace comments he gets.

That was actually a comedic response to someone in the last page who said that how you dress and do your hair has an effect on how old people perceive you. I tried posting a picture of Iggy Pop to that effect but it didn't show up for some reason.
