Can't really tell much from the photos due to lighting differences. Why no tretinoin?
You lift 5 days a week? Overtraining IMO
I agree, good luck getting people to post pics of themselves.

Dries my skin out terribly. I tried using it for a couple months and was unhappy with the fine lines and photo-sensitivity it was giving me. I may revisit it in the future, but for right now I am not ready to incorporate it into my skin care regimen.

I don't think 5 days is too much - at least it hasn't been for me, especially in light for the years I have training. You may be lacking a nutritional component, adding to much volume, or insufficient sleep if you are experiencing symptoms of over training.

You definitely don't look older than your age, despite your very high protein intake.

I don't think the age-related effects of high protein consumption hit you till you're in your 30s or so.

Well I personally know a few bodybuilders, who are on high protein diet for over 20 years.. Both of them looks way younger then real age. Mostly - just sun damage caused wrinkles. But hormone use can be related to that result too..

Agreed, I don't know if protein intake from whey will contribute much to the appearance of aging. I could see the potential for meat, being heavily saturated with glycotoxins when cooked at high temperatures, causing wrinkles on a long time line. Hormones, especially androgens, may cause a more masculine appearance and that could be associated with the appearance of aging. Most bodybuilders (and athletes) tan quite a bit, and that causes considerable skin aging.

So you're not worried about autophagy being limited by a constant supply of protein or the fruit fly studies showing reduced lifespan at high protein intakes?

Why is it okay for a 25 year old woman to look 16 but not a 25 year old man? Sexist much?

Now where did I say what is 'okay' and what is not? I don't care how old or young other people look. I pointed out the fact that if you look 16 when you're 25, the majority of girls your own age will look elsewhere. That is the way the world is. Nothing to do with me being sexist or not.

No it isn't. You think you have your finger on the pulse of the way females think but you don't.

Well, you're the last person I'd ask for advice on women, but if you look 16 and date 25-year-olds, good for you.

The leap from fruit flies to humans is quite large, so I don't think that should in itself be a motivator to reduce protein intake. Likewise, I'm not sure if studies on c.elegens, in vitro, or even rodents will convince me that anything outside of an extreme reduction in protein will enhance autophagy enough to gain perhaps more than a couple years of extra lifespan.

That said, my protein intake was historically been about 1g/lb, but has been recently 1g/kg.

I work with a guy who has been into bodybuilding for over 20 years. He's gone the massive protein route, taken AAS, GH, and definitely tanned for that entire time. He's now in his early 50's, still very ripped and looking at least 10 years younger than his age. I actually thought he was in his late 30's. I nearly fell off of my chair when his friend told me he was actually nearly the same age as my father.

Lol.. I know what you are talkin' about. Sadly I can't take pic of a few guys, but one of them even after rigorous tanning for decades (and still does..dooh) looks remarkably. One of my friends couldn't believe when I told that he's 49 (been bodybuilding his entire life too). But the most impressive part for me is the mindset. It's crazy how MUCH different it can be of a people the same age. I know guys that act like old farts (the same age as that dude) and he's partying/raving with people my age and doesn't care (know more like him, just one example) and not suprsisingly - everyone thinks he's some 30yo dude partying like he should at that age lol..

It's like this guy I've put pics some time ago: http://bodyspace.bod...g.com/buffpnoy/ 43yo.. it's crazy, he could go to a college and noone would question.

Don't plenty of 40 somethings go to college anyway? I've seen a few at school, and even some who look like they could be 50 something. I don't think people cringe at seeing middle aged people in college.

I mean - noone would doubt he belongs to a 20's age group. I'm sure noone cares what age are you and I'd encourage anyone to go for it even if you are 60. Actually such a person would benefit from being around young people.

No matter how she achieved this, but she looks gorgeous. I know a girl very similar to her, face wise, she's 23, and Bullock doesn't look older then that girl.. I guess PS is involved. 2nd guess would be that that field has improved significantly with all these fillers and stuff.. in means of achieving a natural looking features of a young face

I hate to be mushy around Christmas, but I figured it was as good a time as is for the upcoming burst:

These forums are sooooooo cooooool:

Such exactitude, deconstruction, multiple viewpoints, minute analysis, brainstorming, imagination, engineering precision, visual acuity, broad panoramas, microscopic close ups, and so on and so on.

Very enlightening, informative and, perhaps most importantly, entertaining and engaging.

Great input, all.

Happy holidays! :-D

Approved paul. Actually the coolest board I've eever participated in. So many intelligent members, it's a pure pleasure to read the posts, even if they are of a different viewpoint, opinion, etc.. Actually that makes it even more enlightening.

Belinda Carlisle when she was about 45 I think. I don't know if this is youthfulness or plasticity.

Whenever somebody swears they look twenty or even fifteen years younger I get very skeptical. I have seen people who look almost ten years younger but that's exceedingly rare. In the popular media Jared Leto is a good example. I have seen the pictures of a few people who post on here and while they usually look a few years younger than their real age, it's not as much as they'd like to believe. Maybe it's just that I'm really good at telling age.

people who live similar will age similar.

i think a 70 year old person of the 21th century could look 20 years younger than a 70 year old person of the 11th century. but i have no proof.

people tend to overestimate their attractiveness and feel younger than they are seen in public.
on the other hand we tend to overestimate the age of other people.

People never believe I'm 26... until I show my intent to present them my ID -_-;

Although from social/professional perspective(for guys at least) its nothing but a disadvantage before 30...(in my experience at least)

Wow everyone talks about 30 as if it is the point where we are no longer young. This is alarming for me because it is only 5 years away for me. And then people say 35 is when you start looking like an old man (no idea why since I have seen many 35+ year olds who look very young=raw food diet usually). The 90 year old personal trainer has amazing skin for his age. His face also does not look older than 60. But the woman in the video said he looks 45 to her eyes? I think that is just delusional.

5 years away for me too! :-) But I don't think i'll change that much. There was someone on here that told me a few years ago how when i get to 25 i'd 'suddenly' look my age. =/
