This thread is a bit pointless...

http://picdit.wordpr...d-60-years-old/

I did read through parts of it though...and to add to my previous comments, I will say from personal experience that most women (~99.8%) are not attracted to boyish looking men in their 20s. It may have benefits for longevity (although that's still unproven), but women find it a real turn-off (probably because it makes them feel heavier by comparison, less safe, etc.). If I was given the option to be 6'1" and 160 lbs...well, I'd probably be doing something better with my time right now. ;-)

What women? What 99.8% Women in their 90s? 50s? 30s?

Does an 18 year old woman really find it safer to be with a 35 year old looking man or a 22 year old man?

By "boyish looking" I literally meant boyish-looking, like 5'7" and 120 lbs, young, but also small. It's hard to find women who are actually attracted to short + lightweight guys. Sure, there's women attracted to tall and lightweight and fewer attracted to short + heavier, but very, very few attracted to short + lightweight. Guess that doesn't have anything to do with age appearance, but rather body-type. It was a comment on those pursuing calorie restriction, there are drawbacks, especially if you're not tall.

That describes me too...on the upside, if not taking large amounts of protein powder and eating high calorie diets to gain muscle mass grants us an extra few years of life to reach escape velocity, then it will all be worth it.

I just think you're generalising too much dude, i haven't noticed my height or weight to be such a problem in attracting girls. pretty much all of them seem to be between 16-19 years old. Makes sense since they think i'm still a teenager myself. And i'm not interested in those others anyway.... (and for those i didn't even try, they just come to me! lol) I'm only interested in one girl right now :) I would think that looking young would be more of an advantage as you grow older.

You're definitely right about it being an advantage later in life...part of the different might be because I live in US and you live in UK...maybe women desire different body types since the average American is not in shape compared to the average European...or so I've heard, never been outside the US so I dunno...there's a ton of variables, not saying looks are the only ones, but all things being equal, the 6'1" 160 lbs version of me would attract more women. For me, I guess it's not that big of a deal. For bigger guys considering going on a CR diet, it's something to consider.

I wish what you're saying about women not attracted to short tiny men is true. It would help stop the population problem in India and China.

If only would those women say "Umm, no Thanks Vincent Wang, I'll wait for my mailorder husband from Amerika to buy me. He's got a huge body and large penis."

My experience with UK people is that most of them are kinda fat'ish and unhealthy compared to many people I know here in Israel...

BUT! when going out in the city in Israel or just going in the mall you can see SO MANY FAT PEOPLE it's terrible. People are hurting their health more and more around the globe.

I'd honestly like to know, how much of being thin is genetics and how much of it is habit? I can eat anything I want and not gain weight. I've always been underweight for my age (although never to an unhealthy point). I seem to fill-up fast and although I enjoy dining out a few times per week, I try to eat healthier items. If I really wanted to, I could probably live off of 1000 calories per day. Even 1400 calories is still the same as eating 2 Bugar King Whoppers per day. I wonder if there's a psychological component to one's physical size (both height and weight). I have heard that stress can limit growth. But would it be possible for someone to be an inch or two taller if they thought a lot about being taller while growing up or if their parents constantly reminded them of the benefits of being taller while growing up? A lot of parents push their daughters towards being thin starting at a young age (sometimes this causes eating disorders later in life). But by placing the external psychological motivation for physical appearing a certain way, could it work? After all, the brain does control body growth through hormones...maybe the same applies to aging...keep thinking young.

There's more instances of leg lengthening in China than anywhere else in the world. It's also perfectly legal to write employment ads requiring people to be at least a certain height. It's a relative thing. 3000 years ago, I'd be Goliath. Ultimately, when it comes to physical attraction, and the subject of this thread, it's all about genetics. People are simply attracted to good genetics. Height, weight, bone structure, skin clarity, muscle mass, hair, etc. are all measures of fitness / genetics.

Really? Then tell me why so many god damned females think this 'guy' is 'hot'? I swear I have heard 20 year old females say it! Interestingly most girls between the ages of 16-19 find him prepubescent looking (which he actually is) and not very attractive. But 20 year old women saying he is hot? I do not get it. He is 16 and looks 11!

I think you hit the nail on the head. American women have pathetic attractants. They want some idiot who is just like their fathers, who ignores them and treats them like they are not equal to them. But it is also a generational thing I think. Most people think I am around 19-20 and I do have a slightly feminine, soft appearance to me which causes me to attract teenage girls alot. I think for teenage girls the 'safety' component is in not feeling too threatened by the man they are dating, since most of those shaven headed, UFC watching types tend to be major assholes, and I think this generation of females is definitely sick of it. Well many of them are. There are still the confused breed who are convinced they are attracted to shaven headed assholes but after a few abuses they quickly realize they were just looking for a daddy clone. Then they learn to move on and find someone more unique. Which, deep down, is what most females really want.

I don't think that guy in the photo is hot at all... I think he looks cute, "good boy", not attractive or anything. I am 21 years old.

I am not attracted to "shaved headed assholes" either (and it's FAR from true to say all people who cut their hair are assholes) so don't start with that.

He looks like a boy, teenager 10-14 years old might like him.. although I think that at the age of 14 you start liking a bit more masculine figures and older men and a lot of girls might find him too young looking at that age. The photo has good light and focus, but it's far from hot/amazing person.

Why every page in this thread someone comes in and says they know everything about what "god damned females" want? Really, sometimes it almost sounds as if people here talk about some female rats or dogs with those kind of descriptions you put to women.

Here is the secret guys: Many women want different things. A lot might be attracted to different body types, some might not even have a body type they are attracted too and will only look for personality, some are a bit of both. And if a man looks good and a woman likes it, it might be just a physical thing and she won't actually stay with him or even want to be with him beyond that feeling of "he's hot". Why? cause he's not fitting in his personality.

Short men and tall men are pretty much both going to get a woman, same goes for young looking men and old looking men. Why? Because everyone has a different taste, chances are you'll fine one with you being her taste one day.

There you go, so conclusion: What's the trick to get any woman you want like magic? There isn't one. Well, not in reality - go create your virtual world or dream and get any woman you want in there.

The above comment confirms that no man has any woman completely figured out and that most females are, for the most part, a series of contradictory impulses and desires. Alot of girls fake alot of things to fit in, some even dumb themselves down for that attention they so desperately crave. But when a guy says 'you're hot' to a girl, he isn't even talking to the girl but to the body that contains her. It is rather like he is ignoring her completely. And women both love and hate this. Hence why they cannot be figured out so easily. The only reason I say things like I do is to prove the point that most men are being arrogant when they try to state absolutely what women want. That is a very small approach to a very complex being. And such men obviously know very little about the female psyche. All we know is what we observe and what we observe is alot of acting and falsity.

In many of your posts you say what women want so you're no different than those men.

"Very complex being" uff.. No, actually it's quite simple! A lot of people might react in a way or as you say "fake" because it might be appropriate, yes it might have a double meaning but it's not that complicated.

Attention so desperately crave..? Everyone wants friendship and understanding, there are both men and women who wants more attention, usually they are not the best of sorts (there are exceptions) and it's far from all of women or all of men.. If I wanted attention from someone, it'll be only from my bf and it's pretty much just as he wants my attention a lot of times. Someone to be with and understand, feel comfortable with is most important.

Yes, a lot of men completely ignore a woman and only consider the body, but that happens both ways, it also happen that a woman judges another woman just cause of her body, unrelated to any sexual desires.. A body is a tool, we got the more desired one and we play it at times, true. But you wouldn't want a man you care about to ignore you and only consider your body, I am sure it goes the same the other way around. If it's someone random, well they are trash anyways, ignored simply.

Not that complicated! The problem is not understanding women the problem people have is "what women want" or to be more precise "why don't women want me". Well as I said, different women want different things, same goes for men but men are a bit easier - it's easier for men to want a woman just because of her body and the rest a lot of times is "ok, it comes with it". Women will care for the person more.. this is why I said that just initial physical attraction is far from what decides of you are going to be together.

Most women I know agree that women look better than men, maybe it's related.. A men needs to be more fitting to the personality then, besides men's body is pretty much useless now if it isn't pretty, who needs to be a spartan nowdays? Sure, you can still be attracted to the body but it's not always enough. (far form ever)

Height increase has nothing to do with it because even without it, the Philippines is not suddenly going to win the population problem. People don't stop fucking just coz they can't afford height increase operation.

I think some women just pride themselves on being a mystery that cannot be figured out and they tend to get easily irritated when someone does figure out something about them or their approach to other people. It's like their method of capturing something has been seized and put on display for all to see. I am not worried about attracting females as I attract plenty. What I am worried about is the disingenuous nature of the ones I do attract, even to go so far as to feign interest in the intellectual side of things just to be liked by me. It is pitiful.

Fountain, man, I strongly encourage you to stop this "shaven headed men are violent sexist assholes" nonsense. Reading your comments on political stuff I can sympathize with a lot of what you say, but this here is just utter bull to say the least, sounds like you have some psychotic agenda on this issue. Do yourself a favor and read something about SHARP and Red and Anarchist Skinheads..

And you think uniqueness is connected to particular hair style ? Good luck with that.
If a woman is attracted to someone like me, then she's just "confused and with daddy issues" and when she is attracted to somebody like you, it's the woman's real nature at work to find what is unique ? Big fat lol here, seriously.

That was a little necessary generalization. It is okay to do that when the majority of shaven headed men are, indeed, cattle led to the slaughter (military reference here). My point as much as people want to say diversity and uniqueness are qualities that happen inside, conforming to the majorities version of how you are suppose to look does show something about a man. It shows, at the very least, that he is afraid to take chances.

Hey, most women have long hair! I am one of them, I am part of the cattle?

No, I simply think I am prettier with long hair. A lot of men feel better about themselves with short hair, unrelated to feminine/masculine.

Stop generalizing people by their hair, you do it way too much.

The Fountain -

I really have to ask why you post some of the things that you do, even contradicting yourself at times if it will make waves. Is it to get attention? The way you degrade and generalize people that are different than you and your shortsighted and naive posts about women simply has me thinking that it just may be lack of experience and tact? I really would like to believe the latter, but it becomes more obvious to me over time that it is the former.

The quote above is an example. Your generalization is not only immature and shows lack of any real life experience, but it is flat out wrong.

Growing up, I had medium to long hair depending on the year and various styles. (I'm special and unique!)

My early 20's I had short hair ..clipper short. (oops I am conformist... sadface)

My mid 20's to about a year ago I had long hair. (I'm special and unique!)

I cut all my hair off because it is too freaking hot to manage, bothers me when I am surfing, gets in the way when I am running, and waste valuable time in the morning that I could be using to sleep in longer. (oops I am conformist... sadface)

Fortunately, I don't strive to be like anyone save for myself ...and the length of my hair makes no difference.

With no disrespect intended toward any side, this reminds me of a discussion between me and my better half, and it turns out that we really weren't in disagreement in principle, just in emphasis. And, just to add: it is a purely abstract discussion as I have no input whatsoever in parenting decisions and aspire to be uber-progressive and permissive, perhaps to a fault, for all peeps, so I am the wrong person to look to for parental guidance and restriction:
It all started when her son wanted to dye his hair purple and green (around 13 years old).

My better half saw it as a statement of uniqueness and I saw it as nothing more than copying a fashion that was in and out 30 years ago.
True, I don't parent, but I do hold originality, imagination and creativity in VERY high regard and am very careful to not label as original things that are clearly derivative, especially when one decides that he or she is unique because he sports a mohawk as opposed to because he pens Moby Dick or initiates the Cubist movement.

But, as we brought the matter up a few more times, it became clear that all she was saying was that her son sought to visually set himself apart from the general fashions that surrounded him, not that he was groundbreakingly creative or unique, and that that desire to set himself apart from those around him, even if it is done by adopting a completely unoriginal, albeit uncommon at this particular moment, fashion statement, is a possible indicator of genuine free thought and outlook.

I now think that is a fair interpretation and she now also agrees that such fashion statements while generally nonconformist certainly are not creative.
We really were not in disagreement from the start and it only became clear after a few times mulling over.

My boyfriend saw some photos and said you're 15, then he saw some more photos and said you look older there, 17.. that;'s still like about 11 years below your age right?

When he saw this one: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=179633&id=635673153&l=d2e027b841#!/photo.php?pid=3048869&id=635673153

He said about 23 maybe but he also said he is bad at estimating age.

hey Luna, well yes everyone will say different ages, but if i was standing with a bunch of 17 year olds i doubt he could tell that i wasn't the same age as them. I have a good video camera now, i'll be making videos so people can see me properly. In real life, most people say around 17... (i'm 26 in october).

that profile photo was done in 2008, i have far better skin now by the way =)
