I've also been impressed with how young Eminem looks. There was a period, though, when he didn't look so good. Probably when he was doing a lot of drugs/drinking.

On the other hand, maybe if you're on amphetamine all the time, you naturally go on CR. How about drugs and hormesis?

Questioning sparks debate, which sometimes get to the truth of the matter. There is nothing wrong with questioning or providing an opinion. The commentator even said that he supports Matt's goal, so it was done in a friendly way. Heck, if questioning and providing an opinion was prohibited, these forums would not be very interesting, nor would they be very informative.

Personally, I think you can influence your genetic potential by about 10% positively if you are extreme in your lifestyle. 10% is not very much in the scheme of things. On a 40 year old, it's 4 years. Admittedly, my 10% guess is just a guess. The percentage rate could be more or it could be less. I think you can go way beyond %10 in terms of looks with surgery and injections. For those who are young (in their early 20s), I do think technology will be able to help them greatly in their mid 30s and later way beyond my 10% guestimate in terms of both health and looks.

I'll be sure to post some high resolution picture. What matters is how people see me in real life yes? Well, thats how young people see me in real life (as i'm told all the time)... anyway, don't have lines around my mouth, eyes or forehead, at all. Hmmmm. it's true that high res pictures are better. I think that you don't give that old brain enough credibility for being able to guage the age of someone age even from poor visibility or pictures. Those 'fine lines' you refer to... i think they don't believe make a huge difference. My sister has lines on her forehead from frowning, but she still looks like a teenager and can't get served for alcohol (neither can I, we have to be 18 here)

Matt, I support your desire to look as young as possible...I share the same goal. However, I suspect that this is being taken a bit too far...what's the purpose? As many others have pointed out, it's really easy to look young in one's 20s (just go on CR and drop body weight). True test begins in about 20 years. I really think that in about 10 years, we will have the medical technology through issue engineering to de-age 50 year olds and make them *look* like 20 year olds though stem cell therapies. This will probably be the first widespread application of stem cells. You'll start seeing more products such as this:

http://www.histogena...com/default.htm

No need to question him! He is enjoying what he is doing and doesn't have a problem with it, why poke him about it? :)

Matt is doing a good job, he is happy and should continue without being questioned or annoyed about it.. The point is that it will help him later anyways and that he is doing what he wants to and what he feels good about.

I think he just simply made a pact with the devil. Here he is in a recent video:

http://www.youtube.c...ic?blend=6&ob=4

He's 37. Definitely looks more than 10 years younger than his real age. Ironically, he once ripped on Moby for being too old for the music industry...Moby was 36 at the time.

And, Moby, you could be stomped by Obi,
Ya 36 year old baldie fag, b**w me!"
I think that was it.
From 'Without Me': IMHO, Eminem's best song.

If given the choice:
Look 20 and live to 60
Look 30 and live to 120

Just curious. Seems to be a divergence of preference here and trying to categorize it. Heresy of the paraphrase, of course!
Enjoy the weekend. :)

That's not a hard choice for me, unlike maybe if you wrote in the second one something like - "look 70 and live to 120".

As it is, I definitely choose 30 and 120.

I'll take 30, I looked like most 20 year olds then and was a superior athlete at the age of 30 than I was at 20.

Rock n' roll definitely seems to help some in the industry. Damn he looks soooooo young for 66. He looks more like 50. I have a friend that will definitely look like he does now when he is 45. My other friends are more fortunate and have a chance to look as good as Roger at his age.

I'm sure Roger did his fair share of drug and alcohol abuse in his younger years. Maybe I'm wrong. If he did, it just goes to show how well some people's bodies can deal with being abused some.

Our brains and bodies have not fully developed at 20 so I do not think it would be optimal to stop the process at 20. 25 to 30 would be optimal.

Uff.. if I want to stay young looking I probably need to move elsewhere. I just met a few friends I haven't seen for years, they are about 28 now and they simply aged a lot. This place is the highest on UV Radiation in Israel and one of the highest in the words. Too bad I'm stuck ^^

In that case, you're going to miss out on the one of the best cities for living healthy longer life.

Try Kansas.

Try Bismark, North Dakota or Anchorage, Alaska:

Although, I would think Portland, Oregon or Seattle, Washington would be just as good with the perpetual cloud-cover.

yes and ironically, the safest city in america comparable to small cities and towns. also one of the healthiest.
a combination of mandatory daily exercise called brisk walking, better food choices made all these possible.

NYC also has the one of the best cleanest municipal water supply. I remember visiting a friend in NYC and drinking his tap water and thinking it tasted like bottled water. It's also one of the reason's why all the bread, bagels and pizza crust is so good up there.

I look at new yorkers in their mid 30s compared to people in, say, the middle of nebraska. New Yorkers look terrible at fairly young ages. Air pollution is one of the culprits.
