Looking young has a lot to do with weight, hairline and bone- structure and facial pigmentation.

I think that certain features around the nose and eyes makes you look younger. If you look at Clint in this clip you will notice what I am talking about! Clint was approaching his 40´s when he first made the big scene so he wasn't exactly "young" (whatever that means) when he made it- but it just meant that he rocked some more. Brad also has some similarities with his bone- structure leaving a smooth transition from the sides of the nose to cheeks giving off a more chiseled impression.

Clint
Brad

I don't think a few wrinkles here and there is a problem for sustaining a youthful look! It's the change of skin- color (uneven pigmentation) and general sagging around the (darkness) eyes and the facial folds around the nose and under your eyes that makes you look "older".

If you look at models in general, they don't have these features. And for men, age can even mean an improvement for overall look giving off of being more distinguished as a man!

You (if you are the guy in the pic) have a nice overall bonestructure and my post above this one just confirms what I am saying. You look like 27-34! Your earlobes (great symmetry) gives you a lifting impression on the face because it makes your good features more prevalent, too big ears (one of the the only true "skin" features that I find that distracts one from a youthful look or face even) makes one look older. Your ears go well with your cheekbones.

This guy looks good for 46

His body would be amazing for a 26 year old. I am sure he is injecting something.
As far as how old the guy looks, impossible to say since he is wearing a hat and his face is covered in shadows. He would not be the first guy I have ever seen with an old looking face, and a seriously receeding hair line, on a young looking buffed out body

What do you think of this

Using those three pictures as a yard stick (really two pics since one is blurry), I'd say she looks 40 to me. Which is very good, but it isn't 30 as the headline claims. And it is kind of a fuzzy yeardstick, since those are obviously posed studio pictures, and presumbably she is wearing makeup and the pics where cherry picked. And she wrote the article herself, so no third party verification of anything.

Seriously? Come on. How often do you see a woman (and apparently in this case- an asian woman) pushing 50 that looks like that?

What do you guys think of Carole Maggio? She's 63 in this video:

Now onto the debate about whether facial exercises work...

She looks great for 63 in that video, I would say she looks 50. Carole Maggio is particularly impressive because she was not esspecially attractive when younger, I think she is more attractive now. But I don't believe her claims about not having any cosmetic procedures. I would believe that she has not had a full face lift. My guess is that she has had the following: fillers (especially lips and cheeks), botox, a lip lift, a neck lift, multiple skin resurfacing treatments. fwiw, I have read that she has admitted being on HRT. The patient before/afters in the video did not impress me.

as far as the Asian woman, I have a hard time telling the age of Asian people, so I do not comment on them.

I agree about the before and after pics in the vid. Just a thought though - with any form of facelift, the surgeon usually has to unattach and then re-attach the muscle of the face for any kind of long-term efficacy. Could it be that if we do facial exercises, especially starting at a younger age, that we can possibly forgo the need for a future facelift? Has anyone observed the faces of older people who are constantly smiling and happy versus those who have the opposite attitude or perhaps have a psychological challenges such as depression? Or even younger people who fall in the two categories? I will attest - and I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch - but I've started doing smiling facial exercises after a year of being quite sad, and so far I've been pretty impressed with how it has improved both my attitude and the age of face.

My thoughts are that they would help a little, if one does everything else right, like not smoking and wearing sunscreen and eating right. I would think that any bad habit, like not wearing sunscreen would swamp any benefits of facial exercises. It reminds of those people with asymmetric aging from years of sun exposure on one side of their face, like this truck driver

I do not see how facial exercises would help this guy.

I don't believe that sunscreen helps. I am hoping for that studies will show that melanotan will be of better aid. The problem is that pharma cant actually make any money from it and if anything, they will push for it being dangerous so they can push their own shitty products.

Well I live in Sweden. Here´s a translated transcript from Sweden:

Welcome to the Medical Products Agency - Sweden

The Medical Products Agency (MPA) is the Swedish national authority responsible for regulation and surveillance of the development, manufacturing and marketing of drugs and other medicinal products. Our task is to ensure that both the individual patient and healthcare professionals have access to safe and effective medicinal products and that these are used in a rational and cost-effective manner.

Deficiencies in the labeling of sunscreen remains
June 17, 2013

MPA conducted an audit of sunscreens in 2012 to follow up on the review that was conducted in 2008-2009 . In both surveys was 80 % of the products objections because of lack of evidence for the promised effect , incorrect declaration of contents and shortcomings in the instructions for use. However , there were fewer products exhibited defects affecting product safe use in the examination in 2012 (43%) than in the review from 2008 to 2009 ( 80%).
It is well known that the sun's rays can cause burns, acute and longer-term chronic effects , at worst, skin cancer. To reduce the risk of injury , it is important that the sunscreens on the market provides the protection that they claim to have. It is also important that consumers have sufficient information on how products are used , to provide the best possible protection.

MPA has in 2012 examined the sunscreen on the Swedish market as a follow up of the projects it undertook in 2008-2009. In the previous survey showed about 80 % of products defects affecting product safe use ( insufficient evidence for the sunscreen effect or large errors in labeling , such as the lack of information about how the product will be used , to provide adequate protection) . The proportion of products that had this type of defects had decreased to 43 % at the survey done in 2012.

Inspections in 2012 covered the sunscreen on the Swedish market , and was based on the rules for content , labeling and efficacy evidence in the regulatory framework for cosmetic products as further defined in the European Commission sunscreen recommendation from 2006. A total of 28 items were checked .
Results of the review were :
6 of the products met the requirements was verified
22 products (80%) had deficiencies which MPA has required corrective action
10 of these 22 items were found to have deficiencies did not affect the products' safe use, these have been corrected and is now following requirements
12 products (43%) had deficiencies that could affect their safe use. Of these,
- 5 products voluntarily taken off the market
- 1 product had sales ban
- 6 items corrected and is now following the requirements checked
The level of compliance was judged to be comparable with the previous monitoring project in 2008-2009. The selection of companies and products are less in the project in 2012 (28 items) compared to 2008-2009 (53 items) , making the trend of improvement can not be confirmed as a trend.

- Sunscreens are important products , particularly for children and people with sun-sensitive skin which is relatively common in Sweden. We found a number of inaccuracies, but now there were fewer products had deficiencies that affect security. The products had shortcomings now been corrected or withdrawn from the market , and we have had a good working relationship with the companies. Thus we see that a sunscreen product category with reputable suppliers who strive to sell safe products , says Tomas Byström , investigators at the MPA.
The MPA also appeal to those who want to manufacture or import of sunscreen to ensure that right from the beginning to find out the rules applicable under the regulatory framework for cosmetic products, and the EU Commission sunscreen recommendation.

- There are many requirements to be met . Failure to follow the requirements , there is a clear risk to consumers who use sunscreens do not receive the protection promised , Tomas Byström.

Because of the important protective function of sunscreens MPA will prioritize continued examination of them.
