Well a few things:

1. The poster you mentioned claimed to do the same thing with chemical castration and by messing around at extreme levels with hormones. Not the same as Andy.

2. I can still see Andy's age despite the voice and size. I can't quite put a finger on it, but his eyes look old and he is very out of place (aside from something being 'off' with his appearance. If I met him on the street I would think he was a late 20's to early 30's chunky, butchy lesbian.

idk, I personally would never ever think Andy is above 15.. no way.. Could fool me easily, without even trying.. And most ppl that doesn't know his age assumes he's barely a teenager (youtube comments show this)..

I'd guess A.M.'s age in that video at 17. He is a bonfide 6 sigma mutation. But he is working it with the t-shirts, the messed up hair, the goofy glasses, the Justin references, and the gestures. Give him a hair cut, dress clothes, wire frames, and have him speak like a normal 35 year old about Sports, and I would guess he would look 25ish.

The anxiety running under the surface here, in all those who try to look young:, causing worry and uncertainty:
http://news.discover...ess-health.html
But, dont believe. Stay the course. This article, though interesting, suffers from disorganized thinking.
It merely suggests that those who look their age or younger are not necessarily any healthier than those who look older:
Its more implication than accusation. More obfuscation than immolation.
Arf arf! Arp! Jean Arp! That is what I think of this. Fie fie fie pah pah!
Overall, being arrested in visual placement and free of time's displacement is a serenity that only Team Edward can grasp.
Cheers!

I always wondered whether Hugh is on something. I leaned towards test supplementation, tho' I've just red some rumours (doesn't matter where, as rumours are rumours, may be false) that he's on GH. Judging by his facial structure, it seems that it hasn't changed much (I mean the bone part, as we already know it may be absorbed/"melt" to some extent due to bone loss after the hormones decline) sharp jawline, overall a healthy pretty firm look. Anyway, dude is doing great for a 85yo, AND - still sex twice a week?? If it's not in his dreams... no, actually even if in the dreams, most 85yos probably doesn't even remember what it is like lol..

Andy looks 15 to me. Everyone that I've asked (most of my friends) have all said around this age too. Most fat 30 year olds look like fat 30 year olds to me lol.

At my Jiu Jitsu club, one guy once guessed I was 16 years old. Then, the next day, another guy thought I was 24. In reality, I was 20 years old (now 21). The only difference was that I shaved between those two sessions.

He is still lifting heavy at about 80yo, doing personal training, etc.. from what I've red.

I think the perceived age largely affects what kind of clothing style suits one the best so that made me more assured that my quite formal style in public is a good choice.

Clothing style can affect perceived age as well.

On a side note, I am not so proud to say that I can go from looking 10 years younger than I am to 10 years older simply by changing my what I wear and not shaving one morning. ;)

Yeah, same here. And my experience is that the crowd you're in also influences people's estimates -- if I'm among 20-year-olds, they'll think I'm 21-23, and if I'm around 30-year-olds, they'll think I'm 26-29.

The lifestyle bodybuilders have - and Beckles has had for his second half of life - is pretty much the opposite of the CRON lifestyle, and what I've wondered, based on the rather conflicting anecdotal observations I've made, is that does it shorten lifespan or is the effect on senescence positive for different reasons than it is for CRON. I'd like to think that bodybuilding has negative effect, considering for example the interview I watched with the 80 year old Beckles where the interviewer said people who were bodybuilders in the 80s were now dying month after month - though that might just be the steroid's negative long term effects showing. If that's the case, then Beckles is the exception that confirms the rule. And even then, one has to take into account that he didn't go pro until he was 50 or so.

When I practiced anaerobic muscle excercises as a cardio substitution for running (shin splints), I noticed that I had to eat crazy amounts of food in order to recover compared to what I would when running. Even with all the food and supps, I would still get tired, so it wasn't worth it. Hopefully my maximum heart beat rate doesn't drop fast now that I have ditched cardio completely and walk instead.

Mostly yes I agree, but I think there could be some common elements between CRON and some body builder types. As a possible example; maybe Beckles cycles his diet intentionally or just as a consequence of cycling his roids. During his off roid periods he may practice something similar to CRON. Maybe the main benefit of CRON is not that you have a 17 BMI, but that the frequency of your feedings is reduced and that your insulin sensitivity is improved. (speculation, I am sure one can cite studies that contradict this speculation, it is just the first thing that popped into my head as an example)

I'd say Ryan Philippe still looks very boyish for a 36 yr old, so do Enrique Iglesias, Ashton kutcher. Not saying it's miraculous but I know many people of their age having lost that youthful look

Well many bodybuilders were also enjoyed parties and kind of a "not ideal" lifestyle, and still aren't amongst "reduced life expectancy" group, or so it seems. These who were serious about going strong for a long time are still going strong. Jack lived for over 90. And it's difficult to tell the influences of various factors afterall.. My grandpa smokes for 60years non stop, a heavy heavy smoker, yet his lungs are great for his age. I'd say - if you like bodybuilding - stick with it, it will reward you in certain ways. If I personally wouldn't be a bodybuilder - I'd go on CR, no doubt. But I have a choice - to be jacked and ripped dude on a permanent "Ego trip" lol or a lanky twig that maybe would live longer but would be constantly unsatisfied with his own body image (which is skewed now, but oh well). I choose to lift weights and eat a lot, if I'll need to pay for it - I will have to pay. :) Or maybe I'll change my mind down the road, who knows...

I think that your weight-loose venture hasn't went quite like you said it will lol.. C'mon, stay away from these candiesies, you can do it. You look young girl, yes, your face shape is good and you are all plump from within so that adds up, but that's not what you should be concerned about atm..

What about Nicholas Burns at 55? He's a former US diplomat. All he needs is some good vitamins and a hoodie.

@PetiteCerise. Your obviously too young for an old guy like me to guess your age accurately, but I will guess 21 anyway. Otherwise agree with VidX. Looking 10 years younger than your real age is not great a achievement if you do it by having a 30 BMI.

Re: Nicholas Burns. Not seeing it. Yea, I suppose he looks a few years younger than 55, maybe 47. Nothing special, imo.

RE: 61 yo black body builder. He looks real good. I would have guessed 48 because of this face and hair. I am highly skeptical of the 'natural body building' stamp at the start of the video. He has ripped abs, but otherwise a pretty broad mid section, indicative to me of organ growth from steroid use.

No, he just has wider waist. Internal organ growth does not reallpy happen, but an accumulation of visceral/intramuscular fat due to abuse of insulin. But that happens on just a very high level, most extreme guys of current time. This dude is on a nice coctail of test, gh... nothing more. I wouldn't say his face looks bad. Very smooth skin, honestly - plenty of 40yos I know have a lot a lot worse skin. All leathery, full of fine lines, etc..

Very deep wrinkles and bags under the eyes. Deep wrinkles in forehead and naso labia folds. An occasional 40 year old would have the the Deep forehead wrinkles and N/L folds, but that would not be the norm. Those bags under his eyes would be very unusual for a 40 year old. On closer inspection his hair line is not that bad. His neck and jaw line look very good, in stark contrast to his upper face, I wouldn't be surprised if he had a neck lift. If I had just seen a head shot I would have guessed 57.

You've got to laugh at some of the arcane non-sense spewed on this thread. Apparently some of these guys have magical esoteric ability that only the chosen ones are in possession of, regarding estimations of peoples age. I think it makes them feel important to point out all the reasons jared leto and a few other's do not, in fact, look younger than their years and how the most of us are so very wrong and they are so very right. It's like a craw in their skulls. It is as pathetic as it is laughable.

Bottom line. If some 40 year old guy is getting 18 year old pussy because the girl thinks he looks 15 years younger than his actual age nothing you, me or anybody else says will stop that. After all what is coveted is the validation of young women (or young men, if the reverse were true). Not some dude from imminst who thinks his opinion is more valid than hot young women. Or that it will in any way, shape or form reverse the fact that all that matters it that hot young women think the 40 year old looks young and sexually viable.

This thread is now beyond persnickety with regard to this self important ability to estimate ages. And the persnickety aspect comes from people whose opinions don't really matter in the abstract or in any other way with regard to the lives of anyone who does or doesn't look young for their age.

Just live, and stop giving yourselves a tension headache over details that escape most peoples notice. Because I am sure those of you in possession of this magical ability could come up with 100 different reasons why an 8 year old kid really looks 30. lololol

I thought about changing my screen name to persnicketyjohn but decided it wasn't worth the effort. Since you quoted me, I will assume that your rant was directed at me... When people post images into this thread it is implied that they want feedback on those images. I provide feedback. If you have some contray feedback, please provide it, it would liven up this thread. But in the world I live in, contrary feedback doesn't mean speculative rants upon other posters. The Jared Leto postings were a long time ago, even before I even started contributing to this thread, so I don't understand the reference now. Nor do I understand the reference to "some 40 year old guy getting 18 year old pussy".

"Persnickety", I new English word I've just learned thanks to TheFountain.

And yeah, if this thread has a winner, it would probably be Jared Leto. All the bodybuilders are immpresive, but it's a whole different category and to me - not as impressive as this dude's face I have to say. His band sucks and he wears shoes of a fool, but I would trade place with him any day.

I wouldn't put as much emphasis as Fountain on teenage girls sweating for some guy they see on tv though. Back in the day they were sweating for Mick Jagger and The Beatles, none of whom I would consider "beautiful men", it just means that the corporate machine is working as always.
