And about mark sisson. I agree, anybody can be muscular in their 50s-60s. That's no huge accomplishment as far as what we're talking about here, regardless of what diet a person is on. There are more and more examples of guys in their 50s, 60s, 70s etc, who are muscular, because of 1-muscle memory and 2-simply working out. It's not a holy grail of any kind.
Actually that's because HGH became available to a wider public (I emphasize GH, because it's needed to get the best result, instead of "just" exogenous androgens and anabolics..)..

53 yo tonya, raw vegan

I have no doubt she looks good for her age and that a Raw diet can be beneficial, but the pictures you link to are not accurate as they are the typical touched up variety we have become so accustomed to in most magazines and marketing environments. I googled her name and saw some other pictures and while she looked good I didn't think it was anything remarkable for 53 y/o. In truth, my mother is 64 y/o and looks as good as Tonya. Her dad/my grandfather who died a few years ago at the age of 93 had almost no facial wrinkling.

Well I'd say being strong in older age is definetely part of the holy grail. Good reason to work out.And about mark sisson. I agree, anybody can be muscular in their 50s-60s. But it's not something that requires a paleo diet to accomplish. Therefor I don't think the paleo diet should be cited as the holy grail of marks muscular physique.

Was floored when I saw this. May be best yet. Was also going to link to pic of Jared Leto's latest fragrance campaign photo, but it is not a flattering pic. Doesnt make him look older by any means, its just not a great pic. They could have done better.

My guess is the extra melanin in his skin also helps. Black people tend to age better than white people because their skin is more resistant to the gradual accumulation of UV damage. Mark Sisson spends a lot of time in the sun, completely unprotected. Before he went paleo, he was an endurance runner. All those years of being outdoors are probably terrible for your skin! Here is another example of how exercise and working out is the 'holy grail' as opposed to some paleo style diet. This guy is many years older than Mark sisson, has more muscle than mark and is vegan.

There is, in short, nothing world changing about being the one person who says 'X=Y=Z=Jared leto (or whoever) doesn't really look younger than his age, that's just folly! Especially when 15 year old girls want to fuck him and any other good looking guy who, to their eyes, looks much younger than their age.
I personally doubt Mr. Leto's fan club extends much beyond 15 year old girls and TheFountain, except for the fact that he has lots of money, which will make even Hugh Hefner appealing to women. Few girls above 15 would go for that teenage idol look, especially a has-been teen idol type who at 40 desperately tries to be Justin Bieber, were it not, as I mentioned, for the fact that he has money.

I guess it's just that he looks /illegally/ young for "his age" huh...

While you guys continue to drool over your one paleo poster boy who has a healthy body.
What am I missing again? Mark sisson looks 57. Jared leto does not look his age.
You speculate the sun is at fault. But again, it is speculation.
What other paleo example is there?
I do believe countless vegans and vegetarians who look excellent, both physically and mentally for their ages have been exemplified through the course of this thread.
Again, what examples have the paleo elite come up with? Mark sisson, one and all. Cases rested, jury summoned for verdict.

I respectfully disagree. Without reading 89 pages of this thread, what supplements can someone like me (age 25) take to slow down the appearance of aging? I am starting to have visible forehead lines, is there anyway I can fade these? I was thinking Hyaluronic Acid and Silca?
If you use hyaluranic acid, try the skin eternals brand, I think this one is the absolute best. Another great supplement is biosil. Here's the study on it.

Also, protect the skin from the sun. Check all the various threads on sunblocks. I would go with a mineral based one personally.

That info is not on this thread. 20mg Lycopene (or 5 tbsp tomato paste/puree), around 20mg Lutein, at least 4 mg Astaxanthin...among others.
Food is your best bet. Dark colored berries, cocoa, etc.

Should I take the hyaluranic acid now at age 25? or should I wait a few more years? I will look into Biosil... thanks!

Tomato puree? I ingest 5 tablespoons? I apply topically? How do you mean? Is Astaxanthin expensive? So this helps with aging?

I'm almost 27 and I have been taking it since I was 24. I cannot support my claims about hyaluranic acid based on any study, but I can offer my anecdotal account, for whatever it's worth. In my experience it adds a firmness and texture to the skin which makes it look more vibrant than before.
But I also like to have things that are based on studies in my regimen as well, to help balance the fun of all the other magical supplements. Biosil is one of these. There is research suggesting that L-ornithine is used in the biosynthesis of proline (a collagen forming amino acid) and then, somehow during its chain of function can be very useful for collagen formation.
