haha Im 34 on the right and the guy on the left is 25

Not really enough pixels for a good opinion of the guy on the left. No way would I have guessed 25. You have to admit he looks a lot older than 25 in the picture since all we can make out is that hairline. i probably would have guessed right around 34 for you.
eta: i have been toying with the idea of starting a thread where people would post high school and college class reunion photos and posters would guess their age. Any interest in that?

Take a look at this guy: Exercises everyday, eats meat, does not practice calorie restriction, etc...

Age:42

His videos are very informative and helpful regarding proper form in different types of exercise.

italian guy does look young for 42. Odd, but young. I would guess 33. I think he has botox in his forehead. It isn't like he has an amazing body, why would people consult with him regarding exercise? And his voice is quite annoying, I had to turn the sound off in order to watch it.

lol. Such an unimpressive physique:

Some people on this board crack me up.
If you'd left the sound on, you would have heard some very valuable advice about ways to reduce and avoid shoulder pain. :)

he is not a couch potato, but there are dozen guys at my gym that better fit the generally accepted physical profile of 'fitness guru'.

That's the most obvious and easiest conclusion to jump to of course. I agree that he looks a bit "too good", but then again so does Jared Leto (who is the same age I believe?). lol. Judging by his comments and videos, he has perfected the science of looking after himself.

he is not a couch potato, but there are dozen guys at my gym that better fit the generally accepted physical profile of 'fitness guru'.

That's fair. I have no doubt there are people in better shape at your gym. His sports physician title and wide knowledge base aside- The point is though, that this guy has maintained such an insanely youthful, healthy look and physiology at 42 doing things that most on these boards rail against- exercising, not partaking in CR, heck, even going outside into the daylight.

I'm not saying anyone here is wrong for living the lifestyle they choose to live, but that some of the "miracle answers" espoused around here are not the final word on how to look after yourself. :)

VidX has posted many such examples of body builder types (the tanning, exercising, non CR types you describe) in this thread, i am not a CR person (my BMI is 23.2), so I am not arguing from that perspective. Like I said, the guy looks young for 42, he looks 33 to me.

Bit creepy looking (Mike Jackson vibe hehe), but does look pretty young. Later 20's.

How do you know for sure he is 42?

He looks late 20's to me and in AMAZING shape. I would say that he looks better than 95% of the people my age that I see from high school. :) I wouldn't say he looks creepy LoL; He looks feminine. He sounds very young too. :)

David fisher looks real good, I would guess 38 in that video (it says he is 55). There is a 2009 youtube of him in a 2008 UK documentary that I think was posted earlier in this thread. No discussion in either as to what else he is or is not doing to maintain his youthful appearance.

Here's someone who definitely looks MUCH younger than her age:

Posted Image

Margaret Dunning, age 102, posing with her 82 year old automobile which she bought used in 1949 and restored. Apparently she still changes the oil and spark plugs herself.

Here's an article about her from last year when she was 101:
http://www.nytimes.c...river.html?_r=1

The above photo is from this year, at 102. I'd have assumed she was in her 70s so that makes her looking 30 years younger than her actual age!

Someone forgot Robert Mugabe. I read in an interview some time ago that he likes to take care of himself by being proactive with his health.

If you use hyaluranic acid, try the skin eternals brand, I think this one is the absolute best. Another great supplement is biosil. Here's the study on it.

http://wingspanartsi...conintissue.pdf

Also, protect the skin from the sun. Check all the various threads on sunblocks. I would go with a mineral based one personally.

HA is the only suppplement I've seen produce striking results when added to an existing multivitamin regimen. I've seen it work very well with a few other people and have used it for short periods of time myself for minor facial scar healing and it removed them for good. I used low molecular weight BioCell Collagen II HA.

Now there's a bit of a controversy about which type of HA is best (low vs. high molecular weight). Companies that sell low molecular weight HA argue that it is better absorbed while some researchers say that high molecular weight HA like sodium hyaluronate is also absorbable and closer to native human HA (what's beneath your skin).

Please look for a document named "Will The Real Hyaluronan Please Stand Up?" (JOURNAL OF APPLIED NUTRITION, VOLUME 54, NUMBER 1, 2004)

EDIT: Oh I should have added that I no longer take any kind of HA at the moment but rather use supplements that might help increase the amount of HA naturally. Like glucosamine sulfate, amino acids from whey and rice, lactoferrin (whey), magnesium (citrate or chelates) and vit A. I think they work for me.

I Try to keep my digestive system healthy too because the human GI system is a breeding ground for free radical formation and that's bad for HA.

I knew that there was something about HA! It's the only thing that has brought my skin back to a hydrated state. Thanks for the post!

I say that baby fat is one of the biggest reasons why these people look younger. Observe and tell me I'm not wrong.

I know this because at 23, I had facial fat atrophy from a cosmetic spa offering their free services from PRs on the street. Turned out that they gave me radio frequency facial rather than a facial and I went from looking 18 and babyfaced to looking 27 and gaunt. Amazing what fat cells can do.

Gerald Way looks really young for 35. I think the up turned nose helps him look a little younger, but he looks young irrespective of the nose. Evidently he is not vegatarian or else someone would have posted him in this thread long ago.

Kazunari looks very young looking for 29. Kojima looks 45 to me. I suspect that Asians do not look so young to other Asians as they do to Europeans. I think one reason Asians look so young to White people is because they often retain a full head of think hair until much later in life.

A Korean friend told me that Asians have a different skin cell structure than caucasians - supposedly it's way more symmetrical, thus impeccable.

Craig Nicholls, Singer from the Vines, is 35 but looks about 20:

And the next one probably beats Jared Leto:
Hideto "Hyde" Takarai, Singer from japanese Rock Band L'arc en ciel is 43 (about 40 in the following picture) yet looks early 20s.

Re: Nicholls and Takari. Hard to say, the pics you posted and almost every shot of them on the internet seem to be studio lit, cherry picked and reworked publicity shots, where they are displaying just the right amount of casual, grungy, unkemptness. Here are a couple pics of Nicholls that seem authentic, http://www.abc.net.a...og/s3282052.htm http://www.take40.co...ult-charges.htm not sure how old they are, he looks late 20s and 30 to me in them.

Hideo Kojima looks late 40s to me - but then again, I spent a year in Singapore and gotten pretty decent at pegging Asian's age... (rule of thumb for people in their 20s/30s: take your Caucasian biased estimate and add 7 years)

Ninomiya Kazunari could probably pass for early 20s but the photo looks photoshopped so hard to tell.

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but (1) it is no accomplishment to look like a kid at 25, (2) why would anyone want to look like a not fully grown teenager at 25? (3) given that there are no real outward signs of aging in many people until, say, 35

I totally disagree with this. I have seen many people in their late 20s and early 30s who showed many outward signs of aging, including sun-damage, sunken eyes, crows feet, leathery skin etc. It is absurd to say a 35 year old, on average, looks as young as a 20 year old, again, on average. It means something when you are 35 and a person tells you you look 19. I am not sure if the same applies to a 24 year old who looks 17, as there may be less of a distinction. If you like though, google some pictures of average 35 year olds and average 20 year olds and post them so we can see these 'no real signs of outward aging' you seem to be referring to.

There is this widespread myth that the first signs of aging appear at 30 or so and I have no clue where it comes from. It's cruel as it tricks kids into not caring about themselves at an early enough age. I guess most people don't look very closely. At least here in Austria most people show the first signs of aging BEFORE age 25. I actually no some kids who looked at 18 as fresh faced as it gets yet by age 20 they had hanging cheeks and jowls and looked already horrible.

I understand what you are saying, and agree with half of it, but I think the point is that the recovery process before 25 is much quicker. The cell turnover rate is higher, thus more chance of "reversing" such external damage.

I've found this video today and from now this woman leads my list of ageless females. It is interesting to see the difference between her and her husband. Darker skin, sun protection, exercise and pescetarian/vegetarian/vegan diet seems to be the strongest combo which makes people young-looking and healthy.

Very impressive (assuming she is legit). She looks 45 to me in the video, so 25 years younger than 70. I am interested in how long she has been collecting rain water to drink, and how she stores and processes it.

The reporters are faulty, Larkins does not drink rain water. The rain water is for her plants. She drinks distilled water. She proved her age on the Doctors I believe by showing them her birth certificate or something. Before she was raw she was a vegetarian. To me she looks like a healthy 60 year old. I think Annette Larkins is the best preserved person I have found yet. Usually you will see plenty of saggy skin around the throat with people who still look good at an old age, Larkins have none of that and also her face is as good as wrinkle free. Her workout rutine was pretty simple whenever she did it, walk up and down stairs or walk on the threadmill. All in all she would move about 6-7 miles on an average day (including all movement not just exercise). Also her meals are started very late in her day, and if I recall it correctly they where not on any particular time.
