What gauge pins are you guys using? I am thinking of ordering some of this, but I really don't want to have to shoot this qd with a cannon

25G1

Thank you. Is this an oil based solution?

No it does not appear to have any viscosity. Just ask your pharmacist to give you the smallest "light" (smallest needle diameter)

Well if that's the case then I'll just use some slim pins (insulin 29 gauge) and shoot it like it's b12. I don't have a problem doing that, using a 25 seems a bit like overkill and would cause quite a bit of scar tissue buildup over time

Yes i had those "ON" cerebrolysin. It is difficult to know how much improvement is still there, while "OFF", but I feel 10% may still be present (very subjective).

I will start a 2nd cycle as soon as i receive cere. any day now. It takes about a month to reach Canada . With Cerebrolysin and product B (a telomerase activator that i want to test) i think i'm on my way to very good health improvements/augmentation.

starting cycle #2 tomorow !

I wonder if I will respond right away or if I will have to wait 13 doses like last time. If the response is immediate, it could mean that the long-term potentiation or neurogenesis is still active...

I responded right away. The laser-focus mood was instantly picked up. I am currently combining the cere with Product-B (a telomerase activator) and I never felt any sharper in my life. It's been 5 days and the sharpness has been with me everything.

I feel like james Francko's father in "return of the planet of the apes". His father has alzheimer and at one point he gets his brain back with a serum of some kind...it heals him. He is extatic from recovering his lost-abilities. This is what it feels like, except... i don't have alzheimer.

I'm on my first "off" day and I feel like this is an "on" day.

Anyways, This may confirm that the effects are cumulatif. I did not have to wait days before the cere kicks in.

One positive side that is really noticable is productivity.... Everyday i amaze myself of the stuff i get done.

depends where your are. To get to canada it takes a month.

i believe product b is sold in US and canada only for now but i'm not sure about that. Check their website: http://www.stayoung.info/

I first started a week on product B and saw results (small ones but good ones ) within 4 days. Sleep is really improved and it gradually builds. I suggest you give it a try. I can order you some if you pay. Now i am combining both cere and product b and i feel reborn.

This is my second cycle of cere, the first one was mild, but this one brought me such clarity and such calmness, i feel my past concussions are being healed as we speak, and even making me healthier than ever. This is only subjective from my point of view. Experiences may differ for everyone. You got to be carefull if you use cere. If you don't know how to do it, you should educate yourself before. it may be cutting edge science but it's not for beginners.

Here's a few of the studies from this past year that caught my eye:

Cerebrolysin Attenuates Heat Shock Protein (HSP 72 KD) Expression in the Rat Spinal Cord Following Morphine Dependence and Withdrawal: Possible New Therapy for Pain Management.
Sharma HS, Ali SF, Patnaik R, Zimmermann-Meinzingen S, Sharma A, Muresanu DF.

The possibility that pain perception and processing in the CNS results in cellular stress and may influence heat shock protein (HSP) expression was examined in a rat model of morphine dependence and withdrawal. Since activation of pain pathways result in exhaustion of growth factors, we examined the influence of cerebrolysin, a mixture of potent growth factors (BDNF, GDNF, NGF, CNTF etc,) on morphine induced HSP expression. Rats were administered morphine (10 mg/kg, s.c. /day) for 12 days and the spontaneous withdrawal symptoms were developed by cessation of the drug administration on day 13(th) that were prominent on day 14(th) and continued up to day 15(th) (24 to 72 h periods). In a separate group of rats, cerebrolysin was infused intravenously (5 ml/kg) once daily from day one until day 15(th). In these animals, morphine dependence and withdrawal along with HSP immunoreactivity was examined using standard protocol. In untreated group mild HSP immunoreaction was observed during morphine tolerance, whereas massive upregulation of HSP was seen in CNS during withdrawal phase that correlated well with the withdrawal symptoms and neuronal damage. Pretreatment with cerebrolysin did not affect morphine tolerance but reduced the HSP expression during this phase. Furthermore, cerebrolysin reduced the withdrawal symptoms on day 14(th) to 15(th). Taken together these observations suggest that cellular stress plays an important role in morphine induced pain pathology and exogenous supplement of growth factors, i.e. cerebrolysin attenuates HSP expression in the CNS and induce neuroprotection. This indicates a new therapeutic role of cerebrolysin in the pathophysiology of drugs of abuse, not reported earlier.
PMID: 21886595

And one which confirms that the effects persist after cessation of use:

Beneficial effects of a neurotrophic peptidergic mixture persist for a prolonged period following treatment interruption in a transgenic model of Alzheimer's disease.
Rockenstein E, Ubhi K, Pham E, Michael S, Doppler E, Novak P, Inglis C, Mante M, Adame A, Alvarez XA, Moessler H, Masliah E.

...However, it is unclear how long-lasting the beneficial effects of Cerebrolysin are and whether or not behavioral and neuropathological alterations will reappear following treatment interruption. The objective of the present study was to investigate the consequences of interrupting Cerebrolysin treatment (washout effect) 3 and 6 months after the completion of a 3-month treatment period in APP tg mice. We demonstrate that, in APP tg mice, Cerebrolysin-induced amelioration of memory deficits in the water maze and reduction of neurodegenerative pathology persist for 3 months after treatment interruption; however, these effects dissipate 6 months following treatment termination. Immunohistochemical analysis demonstrated that the decrease in neocortical and hippocampal amyloid plaque load observed in Cerebrolysin-treated APP tg mice immediately after treatment was no longer apparent at 3 months after treatment interruption, indicating that the beneficial effects of Cerebrolysin at this time point were independent of its effect on amyloid-β deposition. In conclusion, the results demonstrate that the effects of Cerebrolysin persist for a significant period of time following treatment termination and suggest that this prolonged effect may involve the neurotrophic factor-like activity of Cerebrolysin.
PMID: 21793038

And another showing persistence via EEG.

Combination treatment in Alzheimer's disease: results of a randomized, controlled trial with cerebrolysin and donepezil: Cerebrolysin slightly more effective than donepezil, additive when combined.

The chronic administration of cerebrolysin induces plastic changes in the prefrontal cortex and dentate gyrus in aged mice: CRB increases dendritic length

Chronic administration of the neurotrophic agent cerebrolysin ameliorates the behavioral and morphological changes induced by neonatal ventral hippocampus lesion in a rat model of schizophrenia:first study on schizophrenia model

Cerebrolysin enhances neurogenesis in the ischemic brain and improves functional outcome after stroke: not really a revelation, but a nice study looking closely at neuron progenitor genesis and migration.

It also seems that more and more research on this is being done in the US. I find this highly encouraging, since IMO it's one of the best candidates for disease-arresting treatment of AD.

Hi everyone,

I just received my first package of cerebrolysin from International aging systems today and injected my first dose. Here is a quick recount of my experience.

I followed Trevyn's injection tutorial video and did everything the same except I did not use a filter and only used 5mL. I also used the side of my thigh, up a little from his location, but very close to where he did it on the video. It took me about 30 seconds or so to get the needle to the depth it needed to be at. I then injected the cerebrolysin very slowly, over a 45-60 second time period. The injection itself was only slightly uncomfortable, but for me it was definitely psychologically disturbing. lol. I hate needles! My heart was definitely beating faster than normal due to the psychological stress. I would say it was 30% faster than my resting heart rate. About 30 seconds after I removed the needle from my leg I had the most ridiculous head rush I have ever had. My vision started to gray out so I slid off my chair onto the floor and the next thing I knew I was lying face down on the hardwood floor, barely able to recall what had happened for the last 30 seconds. As my vision came back I noticed I was sweating profusely and was feeling really panicky and completely fucked mentally. I was thinking that I had fucked myself up and was seriously considering an emergency ambulance call. My head was aching and I felt really spacey, numb and my hands felt really weak. I crawled into my bed and laid there slowly coming back to normal over a period of 15 mins or so. For the next few hours I felt tired and little out of it, but relatively normal.

It is now 8 hours after doing the shot and I feel really calm, focused and happy, which I have been feeling for the last 5 hours. I really like it. I was thinking about throwing the rest of it out earlier after my injection experience, but now really want to give it another go.

Some possibly relevant facts: I drank a six pack the night before my shot. I ate maybe 2 hours before I did the injection. I weigh 175 lbs and am 6'2". I have passed out from cutting my finger in the past although I was drunk and really high when I did it. I also have come close to passing out, when I cut my leg badly. I just laid down and my blood rushed back to my head and I was fine. I am not sure if there is a personal psychological element to my reaction (ie. blood or needles or something) but based on my history I wouldn't be surprised. It felt very similar to the other two incidents. However I have also cut/injured myself a number of times before in the past with lots of blood and didn't pass out or feel queasy. In fact I usually feel pretty calm about blood and can watch ridiculously graphic stuff, both in real life and on tv/internet without feeling much. I have also done a lot of drugs of various kinds in the past and always handle myself very well. I can handle a lot and am almost always in control.

Anyways I'll keep everyone updated as I continue my experiment. :)

This is surely related to your fear of needles. Cere wouldn't knock you out like this. If you felt something afterwards it's probably placebo... it takes around 4 days to start feeling the benefits. But you may be extra sensitive to it, not sure.

By the way, the butt is the best place to inject. It's practically pain-free. I tried it in the thigh and it's horrible... go on youtube or wiki and search for the spot to do it on your bum. you feel a small sting at the begining but that's it. in the thigh you can hit a vein... it hurts.

let me know how the experience is after a few days ;)

Has there ever been one reported case of some cerebrolysin, counterfeited or otherwise, causing prion disease?

I have been scowering the net and have yet to identify one case. And yet, there have been so many documented cases of people from all over the world actually taking this drug with success. What do You guys think?

Also, can anyone actually confirm if retailers like drugspro are actually selling the genuine article?

Thanks

Not that I've seen. Trevyn posted an explanation in this thread about why he thought it was very unlikely, and based on the safety data, I'd tend to agree. Sounds like you may have read about it, but if not, you can use the search bar in the upper right to search the thread you're currently reading.

There have been a couple of reports from people who ordered from drugspro, I believe. I don't think I've heard of anyone here (or anywhere) receiving counterfeit cerebrolysin from anyone, but I suppose it's always a risk.

What do people think about dosing every other day vs 5 on / 2 off. I know that in some cases, for example IGF injections, every other day reduces habituation/desensitization, and therefore more effective in the long run.

Also Cerebrolysine is apparently indicated for every other day dosing at least in some cases; has been studied for autism @ every other day dose.

Would help the stuff last longer.

That's a good question. Especially if one doesn't have enough money for a good treatment course, it might be worth trying. The problem I see is that the actions of nerve-growth-promoting agents should take some time to build up a head of steam, so to speak. Taking it EOD could cause it to take longer for certain benefits to appear, and the 5/2 schedule might be the best balance between efficacy and sensitization. Then again, some people report immediate effects with each dose, which are lessened on days they don't take CRB...the requirements for treating Alzheimer's might differ from Autism or cognitive enhancement. So the choice of which protocol to follow might also be influenced by what your goals are.

Thanks for the response Chrono. I believe there has been a report on this thread of counterfeited cerebrolysin being circulated in Ukraine. So, its plausible that these retailers like ias and drugspro would distribute counterfeits. I have actually some cereb from drugspro, which really seemed a tad off. I'll try to take some pics and post them eventually. And by off, I mean that even the smell seemed different. It was like a pungeant soy smell. Now, obviously perception can be quite subjective, but just something didn't seem sit right with their crb.

But again, nothing has been reported until now. Has anyone been able to confirm if these are actually authorized retailers of genuine cereb?

Yes, you're quite right. There was a report here that sounded like a news item or press release. However, it did say the counterfeits didn't have the "trademark", which potentially sounds like a really bad fake. And it's certainly possible for other people to make cerebrolysin, though just like with other cheaper generics, its quality is more of a question.

Also, what are you comparing this batch to when you say there's a difference?

It would be cool if you posted some good pics of the boxes and amps, holograms, etc. No one's done that in a few years, which makes answering this question of authenticity harder.

I actually have some of the 10 ml amps from drugspro. I have to say that recently i have been pondering on dropping all this. I rencently had 2 infections. 1 in my left arm, my veine became hardened and my arm was swolen. The other infection i had was with my kydneys. I am currently on anti-biotics. Not sure if this is related but... I'm dropping it for now.

I'm currently receiving lidocaine injections for treatment of chronic back pain. About a month ago I was getting an injection in my mid-back, and I had an experience like the one described. I got all sweaty, heart rate increased, my vision started to white out and my hearing got really tinny. I luckily avoided passing out, and was back to normal in about 30 minutes.

I don't even have a fear of needles, and this is the only time anything untoward has happened in the course of my treatment (or ever). My doctor said that sometimes this kind of thing can just happen, without much obvious causation. May have just been a tender spot, I guess.

Alrighty!

First off, I'm 22 year old male, new to Longecity, and I really like the atmosphere you guys present here.

Now onto Cerebrolysin! I've read just about everything there is to be said through this thread on the substance. I've ordered 50mL and because of cost issues (I'm a college student) I'll only be injecting 3mL Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. 9mL a week isn't much but then 50mL will last 5.5 weeks which is much more cost effective.

I would also like to add that I don't plan on taking any breaks. I mean Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for long-term effects. Unless someone could suggest otherwise. Yes, I have read that you should take breaks but that's also when you're injecting quite a bit more than I will be. I will probably take biannual or annual breaks, though.

I'm starting this Tuesday (2 days from now) and I'm very excited to see some results! I don't expect they will be very rapid at my low dose but I will log how I feel ever so often to you guys.

Also: I have been taking a low dose of Deprenyl (2mg every three days sub-lingual) and I also don't planto stop even after Cerebrolysin. That is of course unless you guys can suggest otherwise. I have read that when MAOI's are combined with Cerebrolysin then the MAOI's effects are stronger. If this is the case then I will tapper down Deprenyl accordingly.

Sounds like a good plan Cracka ! Good idea for a small amount like that. The only reason why you would need a break is, like russian bear said, to give your brain a break from over usage.

It is suppose to take 4 days to start working, but it took me over 10 days. Be patient, i'm sure you will notice something in 5 weeks even at 3 ml. Cere increases everything, cafein, alcohol... Other nootropics ;)

Let us know but your first days will surely be placebo ;)
