I have a couple of questions if someone could answer asap I would appreciate it very much...

Do you experience a noticeable cognitive boost right after the first or the first few injections, and are there any contraindications to taking it with modafinil?

I would usually do my own experiments but I've got an exam tomorrow morning and am looking to be on top of my game, though I haven't used either of these substances in a while. Still, I probably won't risk it with the mix. Might do the cere this morning, when my gear arrives, then take a moda tomorrow AM before the test. Sound like a decent plan?

I use 25G 1 inch needles(in the thigh) to administer it. 5ml a day for a month, weekdays only. I've had great results with it alleviating depression. Mental clarity is another thing I've experienced while using it. After a 1 month cycle, the effects slowly fade away.

Thats exactly how i intend on taking it

When you say the results fade away how long did they last for you?

I am wondering whether after a few cycles the results last longer, perhaps after a certain number of cycles the effects are more permanent?

I have done several cycles of Cere. The fading of effect was more noticeable when I first started using it. I would have to say that for me, the antidepressant effect is what slowly fades away. Once you get used to the mental clarity, that sort of becomes the new normal. The fading of mental clarity seems to be much more subtle, and I am very aware of my depression symptoms. Hope that helps.

Thanks that does help.

Would you say that it is a useful antidepressant for the long term? When you say the antidepressant effect slowly fades away, do you end up exactly as you were before taking cere or is there a slight improvement to your baseline mood?

I am just wondering whether this could be a cure for depression long term, perhaps slowly being able to take longer between cycles.

I don't end up where I was before regarding depression, because I am also using NSI-189 which is definitely doing something to relieve my depression. The real test for me would be to stop cycling Cere a month before the fall season, and see how bad it gets. I probably won't try that though.

My cere arrived this morning and I took my first 5mg dose.

First time injecting myself and it went o.k, felt a bit shaky afterwards and felt my thigh muscle twitch as the needle went in. Not sure I aspirated properly was a bit worried about pulling the syringe back too hard but don't think i pulled it hard enough.

What would be the consequences of injecting straight into a vein by accident? I noticed someone on here said it would just mean more cerebrolysin for them!?

Its been 4 hours since the dose and no effects so far but not expecting much for the first week.

I'm wondering whether Brainwave entrainment would be beneficial while taking cerebrolysin

Cap3, it looks like we've restarted our Cerebrolysin journeys on the same day. I also took my first injection today. Did you find a really calming affect after your first dose?

What is Brainwave Entertainment, by the way? Is that anything like Lumosity the website? I read that it's a good idea to exercise your brain while on Cerebrolysin. Anyone else know of some good exercises or activities to do to enhance the results?

I can't say I have noticed any calming effect as yet, took my second injection this morning which went fine.

No effects what so ever yet.

Brainwave entrainment is basically a way to train your brain to be at a certain frequency i.e Alpha. This is done by listening to special software, there are loads online not sure if this stuff actually works, but just thought if it did, while taking cere would be the ideal time

So I joined the forum to talk about this specific treatment.

It's been the 12th day at 10mL a dose, injecting IM and can't say I've noticed any difference with memory, processing speed, anxiety or motivation. I haven't been sleeping well, but that may have to do with stress at work.

For my background: I suspect I may have ADHD or SCT. I'm 27 and have always been a daydreamer with horrible concentration and a bad memory to pair with it.

Edit: I'll keep you guys posted if things get better... but after 12 days of nothing it isn't looking good. 38 injections to go (total of 50).

Omg... Just tried to put my first 5ml injection in, but simply couldn`t because my hands started trembling as soon as I brought the needle close to my skin. Apart from some healthy tension for my first self-injection I didnt feel really anxious but the trembling happened anyhow.

I`ve taken a beta blocker now and will try again in an hour or so. I hope this stuff helps for wussiness aswell :/

Hey fj929, I got my order from nootropic.eu. It was weird though, I payed with paypal and the money went to some guy named Ricardas T. and some gmail.com account.

The stuff has a brown tint to it and has a distinct smell to it from sitting in my sharp container (from the old needles, I get a wiff of it when throwing in my just used draw/inject needles).

I guess we were all been trough it

There is in this thread a Video of a guy (on page 20 something) where he´s show how to inject it.

I for my self, inject it in the thighs( vastus lateralis ) with a 1 1/2 needle..slowly.. all the way untill the stop

Honestly. Altough its sounds a bit nasty to do it slow, I find it comfortable.

I managed to get the injection in succesfully and painlessly by holding the syringe very tightly to prevent trembling. I Did get a slight vasovagal response right after taking the needle out so I guess i`m not a big fan of needles afterall.

I Use a 25mm (1 Inch) 25G needle btw... I`ve red that an 1 inch needle should be enough for thigh injections as long as you`re not fat.

I`m stil kinda OCDing on the perfect spot to inject. I`ve seen a number of video`s and some people put their needle in at the side (vstus lateralus?) of their thigh like this:

http://www.spotinjec...ges/thigh_d.jpg

Others do it on the outer top part of their thigh (rectus femoris?) like this guy:

http://i1.ytimg.com/...M/hqdefault.jpg

And I have seen people do it in between the two spots... Anyone has a method to determine the best injection spot, or does it even matter as long as you`re in the upper outside quadrant ?

Afaik only vastus lateralis and the buttock are capable to inject 10 ml at once.

I read that buttock injections are outdated because there´s a chance to damage the sciatic nerve.

After 10 injections its still a bit difficult to find the very right spot.

One time after an injection, my tigh feeled for a half of the day bad like a cramp.

So its still a bit difficult for me to find a good spot.

Anyone get a fatigued/sick feeling while taking Cerebrolysin? If so does anyone know how it might effect the immune system (specifically which cell populations it might effect)? Starting with the first day and throughout the administration period, I consistently felt fatigued and similar to how I feel right before I'm about to get sick from a virus. Also, as I mentioned before, I suspect that it is an endocrine disruptor on some level. I plan to do another run of Cere in about a week and I am going to get blood tests immediately before (Testosterone, LH, FSH, hemocrit, possibly others related to immune function) as well as one week in. After receiving the results from the week 1 tests, I may add hCG or testosterone and/or a blood thinner (if blood viscosity is too high, which is a documented side effect of Cere).

Yes I get tired. The way I'm dosing now 5ml day 1, then 4 days of 2.5ml (& 2 days off), I barely notice it. Back when I only did 5ml doses I once got the diarrhea, felt very warm and weak. So I stopped for a couple of days until it went away and then decreased the dose.

Today is day 5 for me know, no good effect to report in fact I feel my general mood is actually lower than usual. I've been getting 8hrs sleep a night buy wake up quite groggy in the morning.

the injections I find very easy now I rotate between both thighs, I found the best way to locate the muscle is to raise my leg at the knee to find the muscle ooand inject about half way up.

Speech fluency was really bad yesterday and didn't feel like socialising with anyone at work. Trying to decide whether to continue for a few more days before taking a two day break to get a bit more into my system, I know that some people had to wait a couple of weeks to get results so maybe that will be the case, just don't feel very positive at the moment.

Are there any supporting supps we should be taking with this? I read one guy mention that he ruined his Cere trial by not taking vitamin D.

Bought mine from Nootropic.eu by the way but have only heard good reports about them on here.

I have quite thick blood/high iron anyway and was taking IP6 to lower it before starting cere. so perhaps I should take an aspirin per day.

I also have quite low testosterone for my age (37) and previous saliva test have shown low cortisol - adrenal fatigue but that seems to have improved over the years.

I think those symptoms are a sign of low sugar. Cerebrolysin modifies astrocytes behaviour in the blood-brain barrier and lets glucose pass to the brain in a bigger quantity. And the astrocytes itself change their behaviour in the cortex, I guess to the synaptogenesis. That would consume LOTS of sugars, and even that BBB permeability to glucose can be not enough to satisfy your brain's metabolic needs. Also, can the IGF related to this? Has anyone tried to pass this light-headening with more food or something?

http://www.ncbi.nlm..../pubmed/9298844

Cultured astroglial cells are able to utilize the monosaccharides glucose, mannose, or fructose as well as the sugar alcohol sorbitol as energy fuel. Astroglial uptake of the aldoses is carrier-mediated, whereas a non-saturable transport mechanism is operating for fructose and sorbitol. The first metabolic step for all sugars, including fructose being generated by enzymatic oxidation of sorbitol, is phosphorylation by hexokinase. Besides glucose only mannose may serve as substrate for build-up of astroglial glycogen. Whereas glycogen synthase appears to be present in astrocytes as well as neurons, the exclusive localization of glycogen phosphorylase in astrocytes and ependymal cells of central nervous tissue correlates well with the occurrence of glycogen in these cells. The identification of lactic acid rather than glucose as degradation product of astroglial glycogen appears to render the presence of glucose-6-phosphatase in cultured astrocytes an enigma. The colocalization of pyruvate carboxylase, phosphenolpyruvate carboxykinase and fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase points to astrocytes as being the gluconeogenic cell type of the CNS.

How do you guys find taking cere in the evening... does it mess with your sleep more than usual?

I haven't gotten any good sleep since I started taking it. It's like I'm tired but I'm not tired. Maybe my body is tired but my mind is still on point. I read that taking 10-20mg of melatonin helps relieve that insomnia caused by cerebrolysin. They said the insomnia is rare though.

I don't have any specific info on any supplement which would work especially well with Cere. I do regularly take Max DHA, ALCAR, Bacopa, vitamin D, stress B, alpha PGC, a multi and a couple others. I do like to consume sources of sugar, refined or otherwise. I seem to have a strong craving for sugar when I'm on cycle, and a greater sensitivity to caffeine.

Since cerebrolysin induces neuro/synaptogenesis on a wide scale while also increasing glucose uptake, you should supplement a cycle with adequate amounts of protein and carbohydrates. What is adequate I'm not sure... I drink a high protein meal replacement shake in the morning (Garden of life RAW, good stuff) and then just listen to and freely indulge my body with regard to carb cravings. Other things which are important in neuronal synthesis are B-Vitamins and DHA (the latter you can find in fish oil)... there's probably a bunch of other stuff too, but I'm not well up on that. In general, you just want to eat heartily and healthily, as per usual, making sure your essential micronutrients are covered (probably through supplementation), esp nerve/neural related ones like magnesium/vit D etc.

New here. On my 8/30 5ml injections. Bought mine from Nootropic dot eu.

I am on a small dose of lexapro 5mg.

Only things I have noticed so far

Negatives

- I have been tired and unmotivated.

- Some slight lowering of libidio

- very mild flu like symptoms (hot breath, cough).

Positives

- General calmness

Hoping it dramatically improves because I am so far a little underwhelmed after reading other peoples experiences.

So neutropic.eu is the source you guys are using? Typical dose seems to be 10ml per day? That's quite expensive isn't it? Can you pay in US dollars at Neutropic.eu?

Several people at least. Seems to work fine. I emailed them at EVER pharma, and like some other person reported it should be all genuine by the looks of it. Don't know about the $ payment.

The potential effects remain for months though, at least noticeably. I haven't stopped for more than 3-4 months but at least my post benzo withdrawal problems were still mostly gone. I'm thinking to myself that I will use this probably 2 months per year, until I have regained some 10 years of social skills and the like. It does make things seem easier for me, less anxiety and depressed feelings. I imagine the cognitive performance levels might be elevated beyond my normal healthy levels, but I will have to map that. Unfortunately motivation does not seem much improved.

I've not used more than 5ml. I think that's a lot. But apparently there is no great problem with higher doses.

If comparing to pure NGF used as eye drops (tens of thousands of dollars per year or something like that)  Cerebrolysin is very cheap. If they are comparable.
