Oh man...
This reminds me on my own Parents..
Where should I start...
The user Sholrak takes it afaik for a longer time
He seems to be still alive and has no cancer...
In fact, it has been never reported to cause cancer
http://file1.npage.d...d/prespuekt.pdf
Even the Dailymail reported it
http://www.dailymail...-sufferers.html
Cerebrolysin for vascular dementia.
http://www.ncbi.nlm....pubmed/23440834
Peptidergic Drugs for the Treatment of Traumatic Brain Injury
http://www.medscape....warticle/780437
Asking the other way arround:
Is there anything in the World besides Cerebrolysin that may halt the progression of Vascular Dementia ?
Are all of those Scientist in the Abstracts below paid by a small austrian company, to promote their "bunk"
There is a reason why so many people are here on longecity.
Because the interaction of the (current!) Science with the Doctors limbs for Years..
I´m not saying that what we do is safe ( apart from cerebrolysin, which is safe! )
But I´m saying that the reasons unlicensing for e.g. Cerebrolysin are sometimes questionable
Again otherway arround:
- click to one of the links below and You´ll land on ncbi/pubmed
- There is a searchbar. Type in ... + Cerebrolysin to find anything which could be linked to Your condition
- Like:
Cerebrolysin enhances cognitive recovery of mild traumatic brain injury patients: double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized study.
http://www.ncbi.nlm....pubmed/23656173
- Print it out and go with it to Your Doctor and ask whether it could be helpful for You.
- then let the Doctor talk with Your Parents
Keep in mind that Doctors are like all other people. You will find all kind of them, so ignorant ones and mindful ones etc..
Some people here with e.g. long lasting Depressions or schizophrenia,
have Doctors who allow them to bring an abstract to them and then they´ll perscribe them that stuff.
And I´m somewhat sceptic to deem this irresponsible in general.
Efficacy and safety of Cerebrolysin in moderate to moderately severe Alzheimer's disease: results of a randomized, double-blind, controlled trial investigating three dosages of Cerebrolysin.
http://www.ncbi.nlm....pubmed/20500802
Btw:
Cerebrolysin is not a panacea.
It could help but perhaps to some more than to other.
