Okay guys,

The Lexapro has been helping with my social anxiety, depression and ptsd in a big way. And the Ashwagandha has helped with my motivation tremendously.

Does anyone know if there is an interaction between these two?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've been taking both for a few months now without any issues.

Thanks KimberCT. That is very reassuring to hear. I'll do the same then and keep my fingers crossed. Thanks again.

I don´t see any problem combining those two.

Anxiety seems to be a tough nut to crack. Do you think that ashwaganda improves it directly?

Ashwagandha I've heard works on the gaba receptors but it mainly works as an acetylcholine preserver by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase. It do not think it improves it directly though. I currently take Lexapro for the anxiety. Ashwagandha just helps with the motivation and getting things done. I've read somewhere that Ashwagandha helps to regulate norepinephrine. It seems that drugs that increase norepinephrine also increase my motivation, so I may be giving dl-phenylaline a shot fairly soon as I definitely have a problem with the conversion to dopamine and also the conversion from dopamine to norepinephrine.
