Anyone with any further interest in Tourrette's might consider reading Dr. Oliver Saks book An Anthropologist on Mars. I've read almost everything that's been written on the subject (which is surprisingly little) and there is simply no better description. A search of some of my old posts will also reveal some further aspects of my experience.

Try Elkhonon Goldberg's, The Frontal Lobes: The executive Brain and the Civilized mind. Very good discussion of tourette's neurology and a long, long interview with two highly accomplished tourette's sufferers.

Ashwagandha as a vasodilator. Hmmm, I'll raise my flag to that idea. In fact, every morning . . .

I take ashwagandha, 600mg in the PM, another 600mg in the AM. I can testify that it helps with anxiety, but it almost makes me flat, and not very talkative. I'm playing around with the dosage, but I don't know if I'll have any anti-anxiety or other benefits the next day if I only take it at night. There's not much info on the pharmacology of it which is a shame.
