Calorie surplus, no aerobics, compound movements (squats, rows, deadlifts, etc)
No overtraining and plenty of rest.
Will not come in a bottle, outside of drugs. Sweat and hard work.

How does gaining mass for body building purposes cause any gains in life extension? I am not sure this is the proper forum for boldy building questions as the aim of most people here it to do the exact opposite of what body building does in regards to end game (longevity).

Somewhat narrow minded... Look at all the threads on this forum at the moment...not a great deal are linked to increasing longevity?
Maybe people want to live as long and as healthy as possible with a muscular, strong body? From all the recent publicity in the press it's becoming obvious skinny dudes don't live any longer anyway! ;-)

Yup good advice, three of the most proven in bodybuilding, besides the injectible supplements.![]()
BCAA also have proven benefits in muscle building... I take a supplement from Reflex nutrition called Trimatrix evolution which has given me an extra boost at adding some quality lean mass ready for the summer. Great before lifting or cardio.

For me ecdysterones has some hormonal effects. But there are also critical comments.
Here articles about it.
(I'm not a bodybuilder! Just take it for health reasons)

Heh, I am not being narrow minded at all. I understand that there is a rather large middle ground between 'skinny' and 'body building'. There is a large difference between someone who lifts to put on size (for the sake of the size) and someone who lifts to be healthier/stronger/capable. I also contend that you can be extremely strong, completely ripped, and have quite a bit of muscle mass without partaking in the pisspoor lifting techniques, diet, and lifestyle that goes along with bodybuilding.

Bodybuilding for me, is lifting weights to increase muscle mass above what I would carry "normally". To what degree you do this is a personal matter and what supplements one utilises, be they natural or synthetic is down to individual choice.
I do a lot a middle distance running mixed up with mountain biking so "bodybuilding" for me is impotant to maintain sufficient upper body strength.
Maybe I should call it weight training and not bodybuilding to avoid any confusion?
Back on topic.... I know a lot of folks on her don't seem to like AAKG, but I'm sure this supplement has helped me improve my size and strength over the past year or so. HMB does suck however, tried 3 months on that at dosage 3g a day and noticed nothing at all.

You also need a power source like b12 with the mass gainer and protein powder. the energy comes from the mass.
