My own hair is light ( blonde reddish) it darkened with melanotan though so I am wondering if there is a difference between darkening grey and non grey ( but just light colored hair)
in regards to paba for instance they always talk about: reversing greys, but in the patent you sent me, it's also about darkening skin ( which means increasing melanocytes) so I guess it's for all hair colors?

Gray hair is caused by oxidative damage to melanin-producing cells. If melanotan works by inducing the growth of new melanocytes, then it seems like it might have a chance of darkening gray hair. If it works by upregulation of existing melanin-producing cells, then it probably wouldn't be very effective with gray hair. I suppose it would get down to a question of whether the melanocytes in question were completely dead or if they were in some way quiescent, and could be "restarted". Someone in the Melanotan world (they have a forum, don't they?) probably knows the answer to this.

non grey persons with red hair almost always go brown on melanotan. I guess the patents related to skin darkening are a bit alike?

I think yerba mate has something of a reputation for improving hair pigmentation.
