Piracetam makes me feel a little weird when I take it during the day. I can take at night and wake up fine. Would I get the full benefit if I only take it at night in one large dose?

Piracatam only at bedtime?

It seems like you tried enough different choline sources that it probably isn't the issue. You may just not respond well to it; seems to happen with at least one person for everything discussed here. You may want to try out some of the other racetams, like oxiracetam and aniracetam. Their effects are different enough that there's a possibility it may obviate the slight feeling of wrongness you're describing.
Also, micro dosing is probably worth trying, at least for a couple of days, if only for eliminating the possibility.

That's an interesting point to consider, but I don't know if it's really a problem. Piracetam has some mechanisms which enhance various functions, but that doesn't necessarily mean it does so in a way which is detrimental to rest. I've never once had a problem sleeping because of piracetam. I've taken it a decent number of times at night, and only ever noticed increased dream rate/quality/memory, and if anything, awaking refreshed. Though some certainly don't tolerate it this well.you should try to find a way to take it during the day - your stimulating your brain at night when its supposed to be resting

I'm not sure how credible they are, but i can definitely vouch for it since i agree with they say, and have also tried it at night. Hope this helps!
Piracetam and sleep
Although it has been mentioned many times that Piracetam affects sleep this can be rather misleading. In most cases taking Piracetam in the afternoon hours will expand considerably your awake time. Piracetam and most other nootropics actually work with your thought process and not your physical/metabolic systems. What does this mean in practice? It means that it is not coffee. By taking it if you actually need to be awake longer you will find it easier and will be much better focused during this time than without Piracetam. If you don’t actually need to stay awake you might be able to go to sleep. I’m saying might. Because, if you are already properly rested and took Piracetam in the last couple of hours it doesn’t matter if it’s night if you go to bed you will spend your time lying with your mind racing 100mph. If on the other hand you are tired, have no urgent reason to stay awake and go and lay down you could easily fall asleep. Xgeek team has tested this multiple times. Sleeping under effects of Piracetam is also a new cognitive experience. There is drastic increase in both recollection of dreams and lucid dreaming. Also since your brain is more active there is a big chance you will wake up as soon as you finish a needed number of sleep cycles. So the fact is don’t take Piracetam late if you don’t need it. Get your good night’s sleep and pick your battles.

1) A large dose at night makes me sensitive in the morning. I.e. the previous dose affects the current dose.
2) 8 hours apart is a better dosing than after 5 hours. Taken too close together an the second dose feels worse than the first.
This could be why I was feeling irritable later in the day, but felt good in the morning early afternoon.

Because of the last few posts of yours I read, I decided to take a bit of piracetam before bed. I was about to go to sleep (I haven't started to incorporate choline yet, so this past day piracetam has been making me sleepy and sorta irritable), and I figured a microdose would be worth a shot. I took a 16th of a teaspoon (less than 200mg). Now I'm wide awake. FFFFFUUUUUUUU... >_<
Lol. Now I know what doesn't work for me XD
