Concept:For those who can't go to the Conference 2010, or other conferences, is there a way to participate remotely?
To pay say 10$ to imminst, to have an access for one day to view the conference online, while it is happening, and to post say two questions max per day on a chatbox that is monitored by someone present at the conference?
Pros & cons:
One the one hand it looks great, for more people to participate. (There was even recently a fully virtual conference, I remember; perhaps the concept was a bit too new to be followed by many, and it is not as solemn nor as fruitful as a real conference where speakers travel and meet together).
On the other hand, there are some constrains: one would need to film the conference (what happens if the filming or the connecting system doesn't work?), one would need to filter the questions asked from the internet (frustrations as only one or two questions might be asked), and less persons might go to the real conference and meet the real speakers
Tool:
Are you aware of a tool that would readily exist for this?
