about 43.2 million people are suffering from type 2 diabetes in china. are they using herbal medicines or insulin? is there any record of how many people are using insulin in china?

Insulin is not the drug of choice in the treatment of diabetes. Metformin is, it is based on galegine from the French lilac (Galega officinalis).

If metformin alone does not lower blood glucose enough then a thiazolidinedione or a secretagogue is added. Insulin is sometimes used but not that often.
