We want to use a cityscape pic with the new brand.
Not sure yet how: we might use it as a background to the logo, or independently.
If you can a suggestion on the istock page that you really like, please share it here.

We want to avoid pictures
-of actual cities.
-where churches are dominant,
-of 'soulless' urban landscapes

Also not interested if you have found the picture that 'must' be it - please don't participate if you have strong feelings as the final decision will likely disappoint you.

If it was modified with the hourglass logo as an actual building staged in the middle it would be perfect.

The logo should be of a futuristic city IMO.

A. I like all proposed imgs above. I like this one the best http://www.istockpho...tion-vector.php as it has a nice color and stlye that reminds the current imminst style and has some that has some respectful implicit driving force. Some words would need to be superimposed over the image as the image has a lot of free space.

B. Concerning futuristic buildings that imply respectful driving forces, JD had made a very nice image for longecity.com:



C. The word "LongeCity" could be associated with skyscrapers: in the modern/futuristic cities they symbolize "unlimited" heights created by human kind and progress. Here are some nice pictures I think:

We are indeed thinking about an experiment to give forums their individual 'houses' or 'place' icons.
If you come across a suitable icon collection (or would be able to make draw one yourself), please let us know.

I was thinking maybe you should have a city but futuristic/modern looking. However not in a dystopian way (it's not Milton Keynes* - LOL!)but in a way that looks clean and modern and perhaps with plants and greenery involved somewhere in the picture so we don't give the impression of technology/progress killing nature. I do like the idea of individual buildings being individual parts of the site. A similar concept is used in the online game Dead Frontier...though we don't want anything looking like that zombie-plagued wasteland.




*I apologise for this heartless joke to anyone who inhabits this land of concrete, roundabouts and cow statues.
