I'm pretty new to this longevity business, I'll be turning 23 next month but want to start taking measures as early as possible. I am most interested in anti-glycation at the moment and have some questions about carnosine.

Is 500mg once daily any good or will this dosage be absolutely useless? I have just finished university and money is very tight so thats why I'm using such a low dosage as I can't afford to be replacing supplements all that often.

If 500mg 1x is not totally useless, what about lipofuscin accumulation at this dosage? Would it be okay to not take a supplement (e.g. ALCAR) that is supposed to reduce lipofuscin accumulation or would I be asking for trouble in the long run? Again this is due to financial reasons and everyone seems to swear by using ALA when taking ALCAR rather than taking ALCAR alone and that is just way too pricey for my budget currently.

Lastly, does anybody know if there is any truth in the fact that the antioxidant vitamin E could reduce lipofuscin accumulation over time as this would be a cheaper supplement?

Thanks all,

James
