This has been discussed pretty thoroughly in other threads. I would recommend:

A search of the nootropics forum with terms "noopept" and "sublingual" will reveal others.

That topic is asking if its water or fat soluble. I read these forums daily and happened to miss that entire thread for that reason.

What we really need is someone to make a master thread and stick that thing!

so sublingually is the way to go with Noopept after all? Do I use water to help dissolve it under my tongue? I buy mine from Cerebral Health

From what I have gathered reading the previously-linked thread and others discussing the topic, it seems that sublingual administration is best for maximizing absorption, however; oral administration does seem to provide at least some benefit. It also seems that alcohol is the best solvent, if one wishes to aid absorption. I have tried oral administration without a solvent, oral administration using water as a solvent (poor solubility), sublingual administration without a solvent, and sublingual administration using alcohol (40% abv vodka) as a solvent. I must admit that I did not go about these trials in a sound, empirical fashion so my experiences are inconclusive. In my personal opinion, however, I would surmise that sublingual administration with alcohol as a solvent is likely the ideal route based on the high solubility of noopept in alcohol, and the high permeability of cell membranes to alcohol. This method of administration can be accomplished either by placing the noopept dose under the tongue, waiting a few minutes, and then swishing the alcohol and noopept together in the mouth for a further few minutes; or by first dissolving the noopept dose in alcohol followed, as before, by a few minutes of oral swishing.

I believe a lot of these questions will be answered with greater certainty as more people begin experimenting with the substance. Increased interest inevitably leads to further research.

noopept works for me even when I put in a capsule, I think that fish oil is needed when using noopept.
Ive tried it without fish oil for about 2 weeks then decided to add fish oil to help absorb it.. Works wonderfully now.

If one of the Russian literate members of this forum could confirm this that would be ideal, but I'm pretty sure this description isn't clear because the sentence structure is a bit lost in translation. What I gathered from reading this is that if you take pure glycine orally it will be digested/broken down/become inactive. But that the Noopept (a special peptide of glycine and pyrollidine) is administered orally and it has a structure that can be absorbed into the blood stream.

In the thread referenced above by Abolishthstate, we deduced that sublingual would be the way to go. However, the Russian Noopept FAQ shows a 99.7% oral bio-availability. (To clarify oral administration is not sublingual, but swallowed)

It works really well orally even in very small doses (10mgs). This is my favorite route of administration because it is effective and pleasant. Taking it after a snack may help with absorption because the food uses up the enzymes that may break down the Noopept. It's also easier to slowly get used to the accumulative effects over the 5-7 days it takes to reach full effect.

But your topic brings up a good point. If it's not working for you orally then try it sublingually.

It does wake up the taste buds don't it? But what dose did you take? It took a day or so before I started to notice the effects. This was a couple weeks ago. Effects haven't stopped since. Listen I'm going to hop on my soap box and say that people who take racetams waiting for a huge effect need to look elsewhere. Racetams and Noopept cause changes that I feel many people just take for granted. These are legal supplements (for the most part) folks (Stay Away FDA!). The closest thing I got to a mind blowing legal supplement was Salvia extract which literally had me descending down a multi colored totem pole followed by a vision of a huge hallway with tons of doors and then a swirling spiraling "something" and the feeling that something else was laughing as if amused at the way I was handling it. Yeah it was crazy. The mind is a powerful thing. Danny the drug, and all racetams, do work. Proof is to do something to hinder your cognitive ability and I promise you will notice a change. Smoke some weed. Drink some alcohol. Yes I'm being extreme but I'd guess 90% of people are responding to it it's just that some people are looking to feel a certain way and miss the potential of not only the supplement itself but nootropics as a whole and their potential benefits it offers people. It's as if some people just don't notice that there is a difference. They must just think their communication skills have always been that good!
