I tried to create a new account as part of the process of trying to help someone start a blog. She was trying to start a blog but couldn't find the options. To I was trying to get a look at what she was looking at. My screen seemed to be different because I already have a blog. I tried over and over to register but every time they said that I had not typed in the security code, the nonsense words that change every minute or so, but I had. I tried seven times. I've certainly typed in security codes on many sites including this one when I started my account but it just didn't work.

rwac kindly activated this registration sucessfully although I could not. I tried to validate it by clicking on the link in the mail but I got this message:

Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

[#10120] We could not find the validation request you are attempting to verify. This is likely because you have already validated your account, or an administrator has validated your account for you. Please try to login with your registration details now.

I will try the alternative instructions for validating this registration later. I just thought you should know what people might be encountering when trying to register.
