It shows that a hyperlipid, all-meat diet is non-lethal in the short term. Whether or not it's a good way to achieve significant longevity is another thing entirely.

So what is everyone's opinion on this video?

I haven't gone through the sources, but it paints a pretty ugly picture of hyper-animal product and hyperlipid diets. The sources look pretty good. The guy seems to have a bit of an axe to grind, in terms of wanting to "expose" Atkins, but then again, maybe this part of Atkins needs some exposing.

That is the author of the original post that was quoted (atkinsexposed). And Minger has looked over one of the studies linking Masterjohn. And checkout her diet in the extensive comments here.

Wow, that paper sucks! My bad for thinking Willett's name on it meant something. Well, like I said, looks like some axe grinding here. Thanks for the Minger link, she's pretty good.

Checkout Paul Jaminet talking how he got scurvy on a 0 carb diet http://www.blogtalkr...aul-jaminet-phd (I believe mentioned in his LLVLC interview as well and on perfecthealthdiet.com). MarkSisson accused DannyRoddy once http://www.dannyrodd...rous-diets.html

I'd like to see Minger "debunk" clotting factor of saturated fats:

http://rawfoodsos.co...v-comment-15605 “Saturated fats can also cause blood platelets to stick together and form blood clots that can cause a heart attack or stroke.” Transcend, Ray Kurzweil and Terry Grossman MD

So far I’ve read Minger say about stearic fatty acid: “This study examined the effects of two unsaturated fats (oleic and linoleic acids) and a saturated fat (stearic acid) on thrombotic—or blood-clotting—tendency. Long story short:
In conclusion, our results do not suggest that stearic acid is highly thrombogenic compared with oleic and linoleic acids.” http://rawfoodsos.co...fact-or-fallac/

14% of the fat in beef tallow of stearic, but what about the 26% palmitic fatty acid? Here is Minger's diet http://www.facebook....93&id=666889531
