Trying to make an effective transdermal delivery system for BHT (Butylated hydroxytoluene) for herpes treatment.
I've tried mixing Vaseline brand body lotion and BHT in a blender, but it seems like it isn't absorbing into the skin very well (just a hunch)... The prescription acyclovir ointment is in a solution of polyethylene glycol (PEG) of different molecular weights, but according to this study it doesn't absorb very well. Any ideas on a good delivery system that would be easy enough to make at home?
