Hi there.

I have added 1.000 mg of Tribulus Terrestris each morning on empty stomach. I'm following this for the past 5 days together with my usual rhodiola and ashwagandha intake. I'm planning to take it for the next 3-4 weeks and after that one week break, and then start again. For now I’m very satisfied because my confidence level (and also concentration and focus) is higher than before. A lot higher. I think that Tribulus makes a nice combo with ashwagandha. Can anybody share their experience or explain whay this (probably) helps? I dontt want to confirm something or say it works 100%, it's better to wait one month to see the real benefit and results. Again, ashwagandha is the one that keeps me going and I still feel the best benefit from it, but with this combo is even better.

As of now can you specify the different herbs you take and at what dosage? How have you been using and seeing their effects on you?

THANKS!

Any others can comment as well.

I know its been made mention of couple post back, this thread is couple years old now.

Does it make sense to take:

  1. Ashwagandha (For testosterone and sleep)
  2. Bacopa  (For memory)
  3. tribulus (For testosterone)
  4. Mucuna Puriens (Velvet bean) (For HGH)
  5. Alpha GPC (For HGH)
  6. Omega 3 oil
  7. Uridine

All together at bed-time?

Goals:

1. Better sleep, and quicker time to fall asleep

2. Increases testosterone

3. Increase HGH (Human Growth Hormone) production

I personally sleep very bad when i take Bacopa in the evening and tribulus seems to be a bit stimulating sometimes.

You can try it... everybody reacts differently and a lot of people made great experiences with bacopa for sleep.

Thanks. But no harm in taking them all together? Taken together, they won't have any negative cross impacts, right?

Getting better sleep is one of my goals. If it hurts my sleep, I'd have to re-think this stack.

Is there any particular reason why you have to take them all at bedtime? Couldn't you take some in the morning or during the day if you find that they affect your sleep?

I've been taking Ashwaghanda for almost a year now, doing little 2-week breaks here and there. I normally take 1 capsule (Jarrow's) at night, but was thinking to add another one in the morning. Anyway, I love how it makes me fall asleep faster and the quality of sleep has definitely increased. I also feel less anxious/stressed during the day, which is a huge benefit in my case. However, I have experienced a significant decrease in libido in the last 3 months or so (e.g. no morning erections, harder to keep the erection once it's there etc). I tried taking Tribulus Terrestris and it helped with the libido issue, but only for the first week or so. Then I added some Arginine, which also helped but only in the beginning. I tried Maca as well, but it did not do much (perhaps a poor choice of a brand?).

Basically, my question is: what should I add to my daily Ashwaghanda regimen to increase my libido?

I was considering Horny Goat Weed and/or Korean Ginseng. What brand should I go for? And shall I give Tribulus another go? What brand would you recommend for that?

P.S. I've seen several people complain about decreased libido with the use of Ashwaghanda, but none of them could back it up with scientific evidence, and therefore what I'm experiencing might also be a placebo.

Hope to hear from you soon, guys!

Bear in mind that all of the supplements u mentioned will act counterproductive to ashwagandha [they are stimulants for CNS]

I did not feel more anxious when taking Tribulus and Arginine together with Ashwa. I do see how it might be counterproductive, though...

I've also just discovered ADAM from NOW, which contains ZMA, Ginseng, some Gingko, Saw Palmetto, etc. Do you think it's worth a try?

I experienced an increase in sexdrive from ashwagandha, and it's touted as an aphrodisiac in ayuverdic medicine, where it originates. Of course, it could have different effects in different people, but I wouldn't suspect ashwagandha when the time you started it and the start of your lowered libido are so far apart.

Anyway, I think the usual herbal aphrodisiacs (tribulus, longfolia jack, horny goat weed, maca) all kind of work but aren't spectacular, and for the most part you have to take them for consecutive weeks to notice their effects. Personally, I got good results with mucuna pruniens, which is also an adaptogen and stacks well with ashwagandha. I had to quit it again due to insomnia, but that seems to be an unusual reaction.

I tried a lot of different supplements and good quality RED Maca had by far the best effect on my libido.

(i personally use indigo herbs but other brands should work too).

Hmm... Maybe I'm using a crappy brand of Maca. Can you elaborate on the effects you get from it, especially in terms of libido, but also other possible effects (i.e. mood etc.)?

guys, everyone is different....

for one tribulus works wonders, the other prefer horny goat weed, others try maca, .... for me ashwa was libido-raising only for the first week or two. nothing spectacular [probably because GABA action, a lot weaker than GBL for example ;) ]

if you want good physical action I recommend l-arginine [make sure u don't have herpes virus as it competes with l-lysine and u might have an outbreak]

for mental stimulation try damiana... but, nothing from 'legal' stuff really does the magic job u know ;)

maybe try to mix small doses of few things like maca, horny goat weed, triblus, a little bit of ginseng, etc... this should work.

but why u have problem with your libido on the first place? you see men are way more complicated beings that women tend us to believe... if you can't get it up, check whether u got enough emotional connection with your partner, accepting her and so on... also not using any kind of bad stuff [smoking, alcohol, compulsive pornography use etc] and whether this particular girl is well... still making you horny. ;)

sometimes the problem lies somewhere else.

Nice nickname btw ;)

You see your body is saturated with ashwagandha / GABA - I guess you will not notice instant counteraction of the stuff you mentioned if you started adding it later.

But, anyway - if you combine two -, - and two +, + you eventually get 0. ;)

Haha. All good with my partner and I can get it up for sure. In fact, we're both enjoying our time together a lot. It just kinda became harder to stay hard. And the erections are a bit weaker in general. Not much changed apart from the constant use of Ashwa, though.

then try l-arginine, it's basically the stuff that companies are selling as 'spanish fly' [however it has *nothing* to do with the famous bettle juice ;) as it is just an essential aminoacid - do check it out. it's a vasodilator and also works one women - it's my favourite. just don't overdo it or you will be painful for  other reasons. ;)]

I started using Maca mainly for my fitness workout. I am going to a fitness center 2 times a week and my goal was to get more motivated to do my workout.

I have a (beautiful and sexy) girlfriend and i do usually not gaze at other woman. When i tried  Red Maca at workout first time it was absolutly impossible for me.

All girls were so sexy i could not really focus on my workout anymore.

An unexpected but not unpleasant effect.

Macas effects now are definatly more subtle but it still increases my sex drive and i think i have more energy in general.

I found that ashwagandha increased my libido, gave me harder erections and more enjoyable orgasms, and also seemed to improve my endurance at the gym. I had no idea it would have that kind of effect, so I don't think it can have been placebo (I was expecting only cognitive/anxiolytic effects), but it was so noticeable for me that I actually Googled "ashwagandha testosterone" and it apparently could increase it. However, I only took it short term; I don't know what the long-term effects might be. Maybe it can have the opposite effect if taken chronically as the body adapts?

To be honest, now that I researched it more, it looks like l-arginine is something I should experiment with a bit more. Since I kinda do get properly horny and can get it up, but then it doesn't stay hard as long as it used to (and no morning woods, which is a shame:).

Thanks! And how many milligrams do you take?

yeah just don't take too much l-arginine, if u look how much they put it in the stuff u can get from sex shops - it's a very small amount,

and when u buy it as a supplement- it's like 500mg per tablet.... well even 12mg would do! And also, don't over do it! 2 times per 24h is enough.

you need to take it 30-45min before sexual encounter.

Only then it works, because it increases the blood flow only temporarily and you need to be 'in the mood' then.

but it is definitely working. ;) just don't take too much, too often too early or too late ;)

source?

sorry but how can it does not work orally, if it's an essential amino acid? If you eat walnuts, you mix them in the blender and then put it directly into your stomach? ;)

You suppose to put a needle straight to your brain or what? ;p

Yup, that's also part of my regimen since last week. Not every day, though.
Anyways, been taking ZMA every night since Thursday and my sleep quality has increased a lot! And I do, indeed, feel more horny.
Now that I think about it... Long-term Ashwa has reduced anxiety/stress in my daily life, which relaxed my body to the point where it kind of had to adapt to such changes, if you know what I mean, which in turn decreased my libido a bit, if that makes any sense. Anyways, I'll try to cycle Ashwa a bit more from now on. Will probably take it Mondays through Thursdays only.

I used to take Himalaya brand... but then I tried this and was blown away how this extract has stronger and longer-lasting effect in comparison with Himalaya.

Probably due to the higher % of Withanolides.
