I have a blog here but I get no comments and not that many views.

Does anyone have another place to blog that they recommend, preferably someplace user-friendly.

I know Live Journal used to be popular some years ago but I don't know about now. Personally I've no desire to keep a blog but when I knew people that did, they used Live Journal. I have also came across a lot of blogs more recently when looking for information on Blogspot so maybe that's a good bet. Good luck with your searches.

Yeah, thanks Droplet.

I found Blogger/Blogspot to be not user-friendly. Same thing for Cafe Press, if that was what it is called. Posterous is easier to start but in the past four days I have had nine views and no comments. Sad.

Luminosity, no matter where you blog, it takes time and effort to get pageviews and comments.

Type brief comments at powerpoint, then put them up on youtube (save as .wmv) with sexy titles.

You will get thousands of views, as well as a few responses. Its far from emotive though. so if you blog ideas it makes sense.



like if I made a powerpoint youtube video that said "The peanut butter vexes me! I sense my girlfriend feels the same way" it might be less nifty for the youtubians. then again, maybe it would be a wild viewership success with people chiming n "so glad you told it like it is about the vexing peanut butter" or "if that chick feels the same way you do tell her shes so Hawt she could liquefy all the peanut butter there is on earth!!!"

Its so internet.

That was like 2 or 3 hours to make, yet the first version was perhaps 40 minutes to make. Although it uses images from hours of casual images.google.com viewing

Thanks treonverdery, I think. I don't think I can make suggestive videos to advertise my blog but I guess you are saying that a blog can be promoted by youtube videos? I think that's what you are saying. Not familiar with powerpoint in this context.

Anyone have any other ideas?

You could twitter, and then use occasional tweets to advertise your blog.

Thanks. I was thinking of it. When I've tried to sign up for Twitter, they wanted all my contacts and when I didn't provide them, I could not complete the process. The last times I went there Twitter was "overcapacity."

Anyone know what to do about those things?

I don't think you need to give them your contacts to sign up for twitter.
Oh, and you can always get a twitter client. I think the overcapacity thing is just temporary....
