I am surprised and glad that I can actually test this compound next week instead of next month or even next year.

Just got a 1g. I was thinking to buy more but then remember ScienceGuy will also have it in about 2-3 weeks. The one from NSN seems to be 100% purity (I am not sure if I read the graph correctly).
I am surprised and glad that I can actually test this compound next week instead of next month or even next year.
Brilliant news that New Star have added this to their catalogue!
Just bear in mind that nothing is 100% PURITY, in that there will always be some element of impurity, however small; and also bear in mind that HPLC ANALYSIS does not show up everything... that said, so far I have been very impressed indeed with the quality of products supplied by NEW STAR NOOTROPICS and in particular with regards to the comprehensive multiple-type ANALYSIS REPORTS that they provide with their products, something that is pretty much currently unique within the NOOTROPICS retail market; and so I currently have nothing but positive and good things to say about them. They are rapidly earning an excellent reputation for high product quality and excellent customer service, that's for sure. Well done New Star and keep up the good work!

yes! at last! i was one of the first who made a comment in this thread and after al this waiting, it's here. i ordered 1 gram. so, 200 doses of 5 mg! well done NSN, well done. i hope they will carry ISRIB any time soon.
I highly doubt they'll get ISRIB due to the immune system decreasing functions.

Not doubting, just wanting more info. Can you show me where you read that? I am very interested in this compound.

It's healthy to doubt, so always doubt. It's not 100% proven atm afaik, but check this: http://www.longecity..._30#entry596684

Hopefully the LC-MS and NMR provided is legitimate since mostly likely it is supplied by the same manufacture. European lab usually has better reputation. I would rather try the one from European lab first than the Chinese. I am not saying that the quality of the Chinese labs are anything less than the European. It is really up to that particular company and its people there. Since either one is an unknown to us, the probability of getting a better quality product should be higher from the European due to previously bad publicity in the Chinese products. However, I am happy to be able to test the PRL-5-83 and glad to see its labs analysis looks good. Let's hope the European custom synthesis lab would be focus and emphasized on the quality ofPRL 8-53 we are going to receive.

I got 2 grams PRL-8-53 from Newstar Nootropics today (two days from order to receiving it) 5-8mg orally dosed. Not the most horrible thing I've ever tasted, but it wasn't a pleasant taste. Fairly reminiscent of something I just can't quite put my finger on. I had my dose on an empty stomach more then two hours ago and I certainly feel a slight difference now. It certainly has that nootropic feeling. I'll report back later with more. I'm certainly excited!
Please do a working memory test.

I have just taken ~6mg sublingually (my mg scale's not terrific discerning ~±2mg), about 10 minutes ago, held it down there about 2min. It doesn't taste like much, and it's got a burning sensation while under the tongue. No immediate effects.
I took a handful of tests on http://www.cambridgebrainsciences.com/ as a baseline, the same ones I have taken in the past, and got about the same baseline results.
I have consumed no other vitamins/supplements/nootropics today. Bowl of Trix, glass of milk, boom. That's it.
On a regular basis I would usually also take Noopept 30mg t.i.d., Centrophenoxine 1g o.p.d., Ritalin 20mg b.i.d., Modafinil 300mg o.p.d., Idebenone 150mg o.p.d.,
and Picamilone & Sulbutiamine & Pyritinol & Choline Citrate & Aniracetam & Pramiracetam infrequently or as needed.
It's also worth noting that the study concluded the best results by far were in the low scoring groups and age 30+ groups.
I'm 26, have some pretty bad ADHD, horrible memory (memorizing formulas and taking exams are the worst part of my life), and poor math skills (relative to every other engineering student in 3rd level calculus)... mostly due to poor memory. Though, mechanically and in troubleshooting mechanical/electrical faults I am very talented. We'll also see if PRL-8-53 can help me on my Physics and C++ exams this Friday.
I'll report back later when I take the tests a little while after dosing PRL-8-53.
edit: 30 mins in and Digit Span and Monkey Ladder scores unchanged at 7-9 digit span and 8 on monkey ladder.

Please anyone correct me if I am wrong, but didn't it take up to a week to see the full benefits of this compound?
Well, the study tested long term memory. They did 1 session and then checked if they remembered the words 24h after and the 4 (or 7) days after. This was all done from a single dose.

Just took around 15 mg. Feeling very alert and awake. Don't know what tests I should do. Typing seems easier. Apart from that I'll wait and see if there is any comedown or residual effects. I'm pretty much looking at what I'm doing atm and see how well I can recall tomorrow all these events and words.
Working memory test later (or check every 15-30 min or so).
I would plan a bit before using it the next time, get a word list to remember, etc.

So far, hours later and I don't feel any different than usual. So no side effects yet.

I took a super low dose SSRI as I have a tendency to need those as a mood stabilizer. Now the effects seem 6 hours later still working - maybe I feel slightly more intelligent, if I can somehow explain that. Slightly more focused. The first two hours were almost euphoric.
This drug has potential. I have a feeling it probably burns through serotonin quickly like many stimulants do though. It feels like a noradrenergic brain stimulant honestly if you want my subjective opinion. Not crude whole body norepinephrine stimulation like say from Wellbutrin but like a brain central norepinephrine stimulation.
Not quite like phentermine though, definitely nowhere near as crude as that or as systemic.
If you have a neurotransmitter imbalance I'd imagine you'd find out very quickly what it was taking this as it seems to push the brain into overdrive. lol. In my case it really exascerbated my genetic low serotonin tendency so I had to pop some low dose SSRI.
Definitely the strongest noot I've tried by a mile.

After a ~100mcg allergy test and baseline vitals, I took 5mg orally/buccally out of my 5g batch, which arrived while I was out today. I had attempted to wash it all down, but it absorbed onto the tissues of my mouth very quickly. Noted a somewhat strong salty taste followed by local anesthesia persisting approximately 10 minutes. Began to notice clear stimulant effects within a couple minutes that continued slowly increasing over the next hour. I suspect this may be potentiated by the selegiline, given it is a known dopaminergic. Extremely "clean" feel to it thus far, eclipsing Vyvanse, 2-FMA and even Armodafinil in clear-headed feeling. Vital signs unchanged, will report back after more time elapses.
Edit: Have not had a chance to run any formal tests on memory or other functioning yet.

I'll need to do quantitative double blind testing at various doses really explore this properly, but initial impressions are very good and in line with the clinical trial.

I took it this afternoon, and 11pm.. IDK about any pronounced effects to my memory, nor do I want to extrapolate any minor (and possibly placebo) feelings.

without their action, I highly doubt NSN would have pursued this one.
But also Thanks to NSN too!

He dug it up and posted it on the 2nd page of this thread
At the end phil from phil n the blanks steals a bottle from the lab
Maybe it was pretty good and that's why he stole the bottle!
