The study which was done had a dosage of 5mg for every test subject, but the patent mentions that the dosage is 0.01-4mg/kg. So that could mean 5 doses (100 kg person, 4mg/kg) or 2000 doses (100 kg, 0.01mg/kg), but I would guess that 5 mg would be enough, thus 400 doses.

After all the hard work and dedication we've put down studying various drugs, why should the public get a free ride to ingeniousness? Then in that case you should do a private research and patent it.
If everyone gets to know the effects of such molecules it's better for everyone as it will be even more known and prices will drop significantly, that's supply and demand.
Not everyone will get to know this, who knows piracetam really? Even piracetam is unknown to most of people.

His wife is called Adele which corresponds to the third researcher called Adele R. Hansl.
However the other one (Beverley T Mead) seems to be still alive but has retired :

They're both from Omaha so it's probably them who worked on that stuff, maybe someone in the US can contact Beverley T. Mead, we might get precious information from him.

The intention is to have the CUSTOM SYNTHESIZED PRODUCT independently tested by a reputable third party laboratory. I will organize this and will likely be able to call in a favour such that it is done free of charge

Something I don't understand about PRL 8-53 is why after 30+ years of the original research (which claimed truly extraordinary findings), no follow-up studies have been done. It's as if it dropped completely off the map, and if it wasn't for a brief shout-out in a pop-sci book, no one would know about it today.

Have you heard about mem1414 which had been already widely researched by 2003? That is 10 years ago. It was proclaimed to be the super memory drug. Where is that shit now? On the market? Actually, what'd really be nice is a drug that will help me selectively forget some things! I'm plagued more by things I'd sooner forget than things I can't remember. Perhaps cognitive decline is actually nature's merciful gift to us to help us cope with all the traumas and regrets we've accumulated in life.
