Hi Everyone,

To confirm, I just received from SUNSHINEFROST payment of US$4,360 via PAYPAL; which equates to 32 PARTICIPANTS at 2.5 GRAMS per each participant = 80 GRAMS of NSI-189

A huge thank you to SUNSHINEFROST for his significant time spent organizing the collection of funds from the participants in this group buy

I will now proceed with immediately placing the order for custom synthesis of 200 GRAMS of NSI-189 (>=99.9% PURITY) with the respective CUSTOM SYNTHESIS LABORATORY


Please kindly note that this does not mean that this particular group buy is CLOSED; in that further individuals who wish to join in can do so... Basically, we wanted to get the ball rolling regards the custom synthesis, given it will take about 5 WEEKS to complete... and hence, I will be providing the funds to cover the other 120 GRAMS of NSI-189 for the purposes of allowing the order for 200 GRAMS to be placed and to achieve the necessary 200 GRAMS pricing of US$54.50 / GRAM... Thank you scienceguy for putting this clearly (and publicly!!). It really didn"t make much sense to suddendly operate "underground" via PM only when everything we intended to do was very clear from the previous posts anyway, and I think it really didnt make for an efficient operation. I'm sure we'll even get to 40 pretty fast now thanks to this simple, clear post.

Clinical trial : 3 cohorts given 40mg once to thrice per day for 28 days. Total 1120mg, 2240mg or 3360mg per cohort. We're getting 2500mg per person. Voilà.

Hmm I've been downvoted twice for this? I realize it may have sounded like an attack against our dear buddy sunshinefrost which I definitely not intended to be... My point is that for an effective group buy communication is paramount and with the 2 PM PER DAY LIMIT for non-members keeping it "PM-only" is DEFINITELY counterproductive, and PLUS did not make any sense nor serve any purpose whatsoever when we had clearly exposed our project publicly before AND the actual payitsquare link was kept private anyway. I said this directly to Sunshinefrost already so it's not like I'm badmouthing him publicly behind his back... Further group buys are going to take place and I think we are learning in this process and the next ones are gonna flow more and more smoothly. I learned from my first one recently that transparency of every step to every participant is primordial to avoid doubts and frustrations (we all are sending out money to strangers over the internet!). Had we not been "forbidden" to update the progression publicly. Artificiality and OpaqueMind would not have posted what they have posted above (a very natural feeling). This group buy is definitely going to be a success (it pretty much is already thanks to scienceguy and sunshinefrost) but we can definitely still learn from the experience and improve the process for the next projects.

Personally I would stick with 40mg/day for 2 months than 80mg for one month. But that's just me. I can see some people getting impatient and doing huge doses in an attempt to see effects faster... but that's up to them.

It's definitely going to suck if *just as* the effects from NSI become amazing, the supply runs out... but then again it's not an SSRI - so who knows how long it will take for the drug to fully "kick in" and increase hippocampal size while creating a noticeable difference in cognition/memory. *shrug* time will tell.

I've perused this thread and forgive me if I missed something relevant to my questions, but I'm wondering if anyone could help shed some light on the following concerns (these may seem clear to many but alas, I'm more of a music/creative writing type than scientific and just now discovering nootropics):

1. Do we know if there is any effect on mood, or any psychological/emotional effect? (I'm more worried about negative effects than positive effects.)

2. Do we know if there is any risk of addiction?

3 Do we know if there is any withdrawal, or what happens when one takes this for a while and then abruptly stops?

Again, I have essentially no knowledge of chemistry or the mechanisms in the brain that would be affected in order for these conditions to arise. Forgive me if this is basic stuff. Also, it may be the case that nobody really knows the answers to any of this, and that solving these questions is part of the experimentation we're doing with the group buy. In that case sorry for jumping the gun.

Ah, one more thing. I think this was dealt with but I can't find it in the thread: how long does this stuff keep for?
