I can affirm this statement from personal experience. Daily cannabis use (especially a morning-noon-night smoking schedule) blunts my emotions quite a bit and tends to decrease motivation while increasing complacency. For these reasons I have almost entirely stopped cannabis usage altogether. Upon cessation the effect tends to linger for about a week.
If I have a single session where I blow the hell down (no tolerance), I notice the effects I described above linger for about two days.
StrangeLove,
Glad to see you're still here doing your thing. Lab tests now? Wow man. And you're doing it all for the community much love, StrangeLove! <3
As for my experience, unfortunately I never got around to doing a full regimen; never got past ~14 days consecutively due to preoccupations at the time. However, after about the 3-4 day mark I definitely noticed an acute increase in emotionality and a decrease in initial anxiety side effect. In the short-term this can definitely be a useful treatment for anhedonia. I used the freebase sublingually and started at 20mg (after first testing with marquis to make sure I wasn't sent some super potent psychedelic, then tiny-dose tests) for 2 days to gauge my body's reaction, then hopped up 10 mg, then another 10 on day 4 or 5.
At the time I was working an outside job by the beach, and I must say, I found myself living in the moment more! And throughout my struggle with depression, I've found that nothing makes me feel more alive and free than being able to live in the moment, not trapped inside of my head...
I experimented combining it with NA Semax and NA Selank to no particularly negative effects. NA Selank may be useful in combatting anxiety as the NSI builds up. I will definitely see if there is some sort of synergy between NSI-189 and Semax some time, as I noticed that Semax has a noticeably positive impact on my mood as well.

Hey Zhivili,
Has been a while, as you had some initial positive effects I suggest to retry, for many that have initial good effects, cumulative effects making it better and better. Personally I am still getting the positive effects and no side effects that I used to have with large doses. The use of cannabis and unemotionality (that makes sense with my own use many years ago) gives me a better perspective with a friend that started using cannabis a while ago in small doses.
Jaiho,
Very interested to read about your new trial after cannabis discontinuation, are you using cannabis to help with anxiety?

I love cannabis for the laughing fits it provides. Nothing else gives me deep gut wrenching genuine laughter like cannabis. I'll dearly miss it if it's blunting my emotions further

I tought cannabis enhances emotions for some people? anyone know the neurobiology behind this?
So cannabis destroyed its anti anhedonic effect?

Hmm there was one particular combination of meds i tried where cannabis had a extremely positive effect on emotions, either way could memantine be of help here, as the emotional blunting may be tolerance of some kind?

Cannabis has vastly different effects on different people. Some people have giggly fits from it, others go completely silent. Some feel completely calmed from it, while others experience extreme anxiety and paranoia - sometimes to the point of a panic attack.
I say, if it helps you, go for it - but keeping in mind now, recreational drugs are supposed to be for fun, not to make a dull life more interesting or worth living.

I got all those differened reactions myself, its individual because of someones brain chemistry, if i change mine with a new regime i get entirely diff effects, i got extremely unpleasant shit to extremely enhanced emotions and cognition in ways, ive seen it in every possible form thanks to all my experimentation haha.

Hey everyone. I'm wondering if you think NSI-189 would be decent for my situation. I'm under the impression that NSI-189 can help with mood, especially if you're training yourself to be in a better mind state. That being said I'm hoping it won't re-enforce any of the bad habits I currently have. Any advice would be much appreciated here.
I've been on and off nootropics for years now (I believ eI started when I made this account). Recently I completed a coding/web developer boot camp while I ran the uridine stack + coluracetam + noopept. Unfortunately it was still very difficult to get through. I eventually learned the LAMP stack, and since then I've been trying to learn the MEAN stack.
Anyways, I'm in a real tough spot psychologically. Right now I'm going through depression (always have been pessimistic since I was a child), but I'm also getting that 'numb' feeling where certain joys in life don't get me as cheerful as I think they should (anhedonia?). Also, even while I'm not taking any kind of vitamins or nootropics, I tend to get very snappy with certain close individuals when they do certain things. I've just been under a ton of stress lately. I also have a history of re-visiting past bad times and traumas to put me in more foul moods.
Then on top of all of that, I'm supposed to be learning the MEAN stack, but I have been procrastinating in a major way. I think programming's difficulty in general is making me lean away from it, but my determination still pushes me to work even when I really don't want to. I've also been reading and trying to apply a lot of self-help books (my favorite genre), so I guess that's helped me make a lot of progress. Ever since I was a youngster though, I tend to run away from difficulty and it's hard to get me started on tasks. I really have to push myself to get moving because I don't want to go down without a fight though.
With all this said, do you guys have any ideas if NSI-189 can help my situation out or make it worse due to my habits? Any advice while taking it?

You're quite lucky that you noticed the emotional numbing and abstained, leading to recovery.
For me, i never gave my brain a break for years, which is why even if i quit for months, the emotional blockage never goes away. Although i did quit for 5 months, (my longest break), and i would say it improved by like 20%...
Cannabis will usually enhance emotions in an individual that doesn't smoke everyday for sustained periods of time, on the other hand, once you start to smoke everyday, cannabis tends to induce and mimic depression-like symptoms. This isn't true for everybody obviously, but this would make a lot of sense. I also think younger people tend to suffer increased negative effects in comparison to older individuals.
Oh and btw Jaiho, even though i got anhedonia, and have had it for like 3 years, i can feel some sort of social anxiety sometimes. Nothing crazy, but i do think anhedonic sufferers can feel anxious.

I did notice on 2 ocasions after smoking synthetic cannabinoids every evening for a week or so my week without stims and anhedonia was alot more brutal, but it could have been other factors.
Still i optimistic we can counter those issues, got one perhaps particular good one in mind atm.

I know the struggles you're going through, but you have to remember we're both on the same journey here. If you want to scam people out of money, find some rich fools to do it to.
For anyone curious, I was desperately looking for Parnate as i was in a bad way. Medievil said he could get it, i paid, and 12+ months later, still no money or Parnate.
You also have to know i'm not wealthy and squeezed that money together to get some sort of hope. you ripped that away from me. Being angry about it doesn't get anywhere, and i don't hold grudges, as long as people redeem themselves.

Im deeply sorry about what happened but hope that in the future everything is set right.

Any long term users here? Would be nice to hear from people who have been using NSI for 6+ months, with multiple cycles and it still continues to work.
I guess i'm abit of a lab rat at the moment, i have a theory that Cannabis eventually stops NSI from working, so im waiting for it to clear out and will start a new cycle.
I use cannabis, what makes you say that?
I think cannabis / NSI 189 connection needs more evidence, For me I can say I have found no problems combining the two. The theory of diminishing returns, at least for me, doesn't apply.

Theres not much evidence of anything in regards to NSI-189, especially in combinations. We can only rely on anecdotes.
I'm just trying to figure out why NSI-189 stopped working for me. It was pretty much a cure for me, for quite some time, which discounts the placebo effect (i would think)

Hmm strange, this seems to indicate that neurogenesis was one part of your problem but that there may be a extra problem that would get on top of whatever actions it does, for example increased size of brain areas with the body returning to hypoactivation of this area.
The only solution i can think of is trying augmentation with a broad variaty of antidepressants such as memantine, prozac, buprenorphine etc you get the drill.
I do think this would just be a matter of finding the perfect add onn.

To the question if anyone is using long term - it's been nearly a year for me. It's ok, I still like it.
Yes I notice visual improvement ocasionally - mainly when I take it before the sleep - few days ago I woke up with sharp vision and colorfull experience enjoying the sun shining....

It lists the pathogens for just about every mental affliction, making it easy to find ways to kill them.
I recommend VCO and BHT for lipid coated virii. VCO for a good many bacteria. Curcumin for Helicobacter Pylori etc.
Zhivili:
I would look into serotonin/tryptophan and the gut. Something as simple as an antibiotic can cause the die-off of one bacteria type and the proliferation of another with far reaching effects all the way up to low NAD+ levels!
http://www.longecity...ndpost&p=763490
Just about everything we eat is ingested (eaten), metabolised (digested). and excreted (shat out) by gut bacteria. So we live on bacteria excrement...
ie: NSI-189 is bloody good stuff, use it to find and fix the problem that makes it effective for you...
