Heading into the 6th day of NSI, still not noticing much improvements. Waking up make me feel out of it big time, talking and stuff feels forced (as if it doesn't already). Laughter and all that stuff doesn't come easy. Sleeping is a bit harder as yesterday, I did not feel one bit tired nor constantly yawning to sleep even though I came home from work after a longer than usual shift. 25-30mg once a day dose.

Still wondering if it gets better. Is it something I should just stick with to see and push through the feeling of emptiness? I don't know if my depression is just getting worse in general. It could be, but then again I really doubt it gets worse like this.

Keep going mate. day 6 isnt even half way there. You're probably experiencing start up side effects, normal with all drugs.

You wont notice anything until coming up to the month mark.

I will try my best to ride it out. It's a pain, as I feel more out of it than before... But I hope it actually does something.

Is there anyone who have experienced mostly side-effects starting up with NSI-189 but had it subside after a few weeks of dosing or so? Then started to notice some benefits?

That's not what the study results say! Improvements were noted from first week onwards.

Feelsnumbman, I Personally notice the difference within 30 mins of taking it.

Where did you buy it from? I've had two different versions of nsi189 from 2 different vendors. One vendor I noticed nothing whatsoever. The other I notice both positive and negative effects. So I'm quite certain the one where I noticed nothing even at high doses is not the real deal.

I've stopped now though due to it worsening my anxiety despite all the positive effects I had.

That's unusual, as it has been shown that there's no significant neurogenesis regarding the olfactory bulb in humans. Instead the new neurons go to the striatum.

From Wikipedia:

So maybe that's an other mechanism or just your expectation.

This article suggests that in humans, the flow of new neurons to the olfactory bulb is drastically reduced after infancy, but at no point is it clearly absent (see the editor's summary). This other article mentions that in mammals, neurogenesis brings new neurons to the olfactory bulb throughout life. I think it's plausible that new neurons will travel to both the olfactory bulb and the striatum, and even the prefrontal cortex, which occurs during infancy.

Its quiet confusing to me or perhaps I´m mistaken,

but this abstract says that it doesnt happen

Human and monkey striatal interneurons are derived from the medial ganglionic eminence but not from the adult subventricular zone.

http://www.ncbi.nlm....pubmed/25122892

whereas this one states the opposite

Human adipose-derived mesenchymal stromal cells increase endogenous neurogenesis in the rat subventricular zone acutely after 6-hydroxydopamine lesioning.

I will try my best to just to get past another week or so... I really do feel out of it. I feel mechanical, even worse than when I first started it. It's hella fucking tough to deal with. It wasn't so bad the first few days but I still felt somewhat out of it.

I really hope these side-effects go away. It's killing me. Not to mention I can't get sleepy and when I do sleep, I end up with only a few hours of sleep and still not really feeling sleepy.

I didn't notice the benefits for 2-3 weeks. I am currently 10 days into my new trial, with no significant benefits yet. These past few days I have noticed some very negative hyper-emotionality. Based on my last two trials, I expect this will go away by the end of the week.

Day 8, nothing new. It seems like after I take my dose, I get this feeling of tiredness. I don't necessarily feel sleepy, but my eyes feel dry and I just end up trying to sleep it off anyways. Then waking up is when I feel like crap. Whether it's a 1 hour nap or a full night sleep, I just seem to feel like crap when I wake up in general. The dry eyes feeling that I get don't seem to be exclusively from NSI. I got that when I took Selank and Semax as well.

I did lower my dose to 20mg. I was wondering if I'd actually end up feeling more anxiety and disconnection if I do go up to 40mg. I know the studies say they were dosing 40mg 2 times a day, but they never really mention any side-effects. Maybe the side-effects all go away by the end of the trial, who knows. Was also wondering for those who felt anxiety and such, did it just gradually go away? It feels like every time I take my dose it just adds on to whatever sides I'm feeling.

Maybe taking a few days off wouldn't hurt? I don't know. I'm still continuing on with dosing once a day.

I have tried both THT (phosphate) and HHD(free base), and in my opinion, HHD had the more effective product. Their NSI produced the head pressure symptom, which was also described by other users as well.

I used a combination of both THT and HHD's version of NSI for over 2 months, and my verdict is, NSI doesn't do much in the way of cognitive benefits. I'm not disputing those who claim to have experienced positive benefits, I'm just not one of them.

That being said, if you really want a cognitive boost, Dihexa and Semax together is the way to go.

You've tried the combination?

Yes. And with great results. But I'm not sure what negative side effects will arise in the future. This is a intense combo in regard to focus, memory retrieval, and creativity. Once stoping, after 7 days usage, I don't exactly feel on point anymore. I'm not sure if I'm going through withdrawal, or if I'm simply just back to my stupid, normal, self.

I had powerful results with NSI-189 combined with curcumin in only 4 days and then stopped afterwards due to the power of it. Months later and it helped a lot. Anyone else who has tested normal freebase willing to test it and report back?

I eat tons of curcumin in curry and mustard.. its day 8 and NSI-189 has been a god send so far. I'm dosing 55-60 mg once a day and experience no anxiety.

I'm looking for any way to potentiate the nootropic effect of NSI-189. Shilajit boosts the antidepressant effect substantially and might be the reason that i experience no anxiety on NSI. However, if anyone can let me know how to potentiate the nootropic effect that would be great

Could you explain the results and what dosage of curcumin did you take?

Well, I tried taking 40mg for my dose yesterday just to see whether or not it's any different... and unfortunately, still nothing in terms of benefits. I did not feel "tired" after dosing like I usually do for my 25-30mg doses and did not take any of those short 1-3 hours nap shortly after dosing. Unfortunately, it has made me unable to sleep throughout the night, so I'm still awake from yesterday.

I'm wondering if stopping my doses for two days a week will hinder its progress in any way. Not that I'm really seeing much progress as it seems the same day after day, and a lot of my reports sound nothing but redundancy... Just hoping that it doesn't. Because I surely don't want to feel disconnected and more out of it at work, especially when I haven't slept all night.

Anyone know whether or not stopping two days a week would ruin anything or not?

This is heavily discouraging. I didn't even think much about its effect on sleep prior to ever taking it or even being aware of it and it's really something.

THT and Ceretropic have both stopped selling it. I bet they got another cease and desist notice from Neuralstem. Ceretropic only had it for sale for like a week. I'm glad I got some while they had it.

Well it sucks that THT no longer sells NSI-189, as I was planning on buying some more from them.

I suppose another group buy is in order then. Well, shit.

Yes, ceretropic has also stopped of selling it. Many restriction and concern from the authorities, that's not good.

There is only TLR ... How effective is their NSI?

I'm using TLR's and it works fine. However, I tried none of the other vendor's NSI, so I can't compare.

How is it TLR can still sell it, while the others stop. They are located in the US, too, right?

Thank you for your reply.

Maybe because their are a more unknown and less popular company compared with ceretropic or THT... Perhaps we need to be more discrete with these sellers in the case of these compounds, this is not piracetam.

You're welcome.

However, I don't know if popularity can really be the reason. Didn't take me long to find TLR and anyone working for Neuralstem can find them easily, too. After all, this is forum is open for everyone to read.

TLR ships from the U.S., but I don't think they're wholly owned and operated in the U.S. Their owners are clearly not native English speakers.

I would suggest that a mod go through and scrub any references to vendors made in this thread or others excepting the actual restricted vendor discussion threads.

I think that Neuralstem should turn a blind eye to the sales of NSI-189 to those who want it for research or otherwise given that they cannot yet sell it themselves. Clamp down 6 months to a year before it comes to market as Neuralstem is certainly entitled to get a return on their investement.

I also wonder if Neuralstem has not given consideration that by taking a lighter hand right now before they can actually sell the substance may actually generate a larger market for when they are able to sell it? As well in the meantime others may discover more cost effective ways to synthesize the compound enabling one to possibly achieve a quicker ROI. Or maybe I am just smoking the proverbial crack pipe here....

And when would this actually be released for the general public to obtain a script for? 2020 maybe?

There are or were Neuralstem lurkers here.
I wish they would come forward and explain their reasoning as it just does not make sense to stop manufacturers at this point.
People can give invaluable feedback that rats cant, as well as generate interest/income in their product.

Perhaps they are using a secret sentient rat breed! :)

On second thoughts the Neuralstem Lurkers are probably just employees of Neuralstem's lawrers doing what they are told (Drones) and its pointless appealing to them to think this through or even pass the idea on?

Come on Neuralstem Lurkers grow a pair and a brain!! You know we know who you are and that you cant stop Chinese manufacturers anyway!

What's the link to the restricted vendor discussion thread plz?
