It definitely isn't the chemical nomenclature. I don't think there are any vendors that can synthesize this molecule if we don't even know what it is in the first place.

According to the patent, WSU owns it. Are they going to license it? have they made any statement on this.

Siro, did you purchased dihexa?I'm ready to purchase. If anyone can get me a link to a reputable supplier for 50-100g amounts I'll be ordering as soon as I can. Though, I face the problem of the fact that I have no idea the molecular structure of this molecule(in spite of searching), so even if I got it tested such a lab might not be able to confirm it for me.

Serum Metabolism of Peptides
Chemicals and Reagents.
HPLC-grade acetonitrile (ACN), acetic acid and water, and reagent-grade trifluoroacetic acid were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich. Nle1-AngIV (Nle-Tyr-Ile-His-Pro-Phe), d-Nle-YI, acetyl-NleYIH, γ-amino butyric acid-YIH, NleYI-amide, and N-hexanoic-Tyr-Ile-(6)amino-hexanoic amide (dihexa) were synthesized by 9-fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl-based solid-phase methods in the Harding laboratory.
Drug Solution Preparation.
Except for dihexa, all drug solutions were prepared in HPLC-grade water at 5 mg/ml. Stock drugs were kept in powder form and stored at −20°C.
IV Pharmacokinetics
Dihexa solutions were prepared by suspending dry-stock dihexa in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) at 1 mg/ml, and subsequent serial dilutions in 50% DMSO or HPLC-grade water for the final concentrations were specified. Stock dihexa was kept in powder form and stored at −20°C. Quality control samples were prepared by spiking fresh rat plasma with an appropriate dilution of dihexa for the final concentration of dihexa specified, keeping a 10:1 ratio of plasma-to-dihexa solution (final DMSO concentration 5%). The compounds, Nle1-AngIV and Nle-YI-(6) aminohexanoic amide, molecules very similar in structure and properties to dihexa, were used as internal standards and were prepared the same way.

So every study is using an injectable form? We need to figure out oral bioavailbility.
The MJF study was oral.

Ah, I didn't know if knowing the chemical name, N-hexanoic-Tyr-Ile-(6)-aminohexanoic amide, was enough information to translate it into a structural formula, in which case I figured if the drawing was in fact of N-hexanoic-Tyr-Ile-(6)-aminohexanoic amide then we'd have our structure. Haven't had any chemistry since back in high school...I suppose there's not a 1 to 1 correspondence between name and structural formula then. I'll keep looking.
