This study mentions both MM-201 and Dihexa, but I haven't read it, so I don't know whether they are synonymous. But perhaps you can extract that info from its context.
edit; Early in the video, he talks about how one of the earlier analogues reversed kainic acid induced hippocampal lesions (60-70% neuron loss). He also states that they were only active for 2-3 minutes. Now I'm curious; what does he mean by "reversed"? As in; the kainic acid induced 60-70% loss of neurons, after which the substance grew them back, and that within 3 minutes? What am I missing here?

Would Dihexa have any possible application in treating mood disorders? Or is this simply cognitive enhancement? Although I'm assuming there's some crossover between those two.

That's a good point. I think Dr. Harding talked about the growth in the hippocampus area; in this case, would that be similar to NSI -189? Do they have the same MOA?

While on the subject, take a look at this. Ketamine's anti-depressant effects appear to be mediated via its synaptogenic action. More articles supporting a synaptic theory of depression.

I would imagine that he means:
From that I'd assume that the drug had to be given almost continuously to reverse the lesions. There's nothing in what he says to assume that it reversed the lesions completely back to a previous state, but instead simply that the lesion damage started to be reversed and continued to do so when given the analogue.

Our laboratory has recently synthesized a metabolically stable AngIV analog that acts by way of the hepatocyte growth factor (HGF)/c-Met receptor system (133136) to overcome the motor dysfunctions that follow 6-OHDA-induced lesions of the substantia nigra pars compacta in the rat (unpublished results). This compound, called Dihexa, sig- nificantly improved both rope hang times and stride length over the course of a 48-day treatment period.

If I recall correctly, my interpretation was a derived estimated relative potency of injection being approximately 4-fold more potent than oral; therein placing oral bioavailability at a respectable ~25%, though the correlation is not exact. I recall a dose given orally of 400% of that given via i.p. to foster significant improvement comparable to i.p., but in one model assay not to quite the degree of the comparative dose given i.p. Hence my extrapolation was an oral bioavailability to likely require a 4-fold dose or slightly greater so as to confer an equitable effect.
Obviously with most substances injection will confer superior potency, though such is surprising that a peptide (even a 'simple' tetrapeptide) maintains such a fair degree of oral bioavailability. This was at the maximal dose assayed that showed significant effect. From recall, said dosing was 2mg/kg p.o. in rats so the equitable oral dose for a 60kg animal would be approximately 20mg p.o. and 5mg i.m. - so research accordingly.
