"Amber fossil reveals ancient reproduction in flowering plants

Posted Image

It will be possible to extract huge data from preserved fossils by emerging techniques.

Posted Image

A 100-million-year old piece of amber has been discovered which reveals the oldest evidence of sexual reproduction in a flowering plant – a cluster of 18 tiny flowers from the Cretaceous Period – with one of them in the process of making some new seeds for the next generation.

The perfectly-preserved scene, in a plant now extinct, is part of a portrait created in the mid-Cretaceous when flowering plants were changing the face of the Earth forever, adding beauty, biodiversity and food. It appears identical to the reproduction process that "angiosperms," or flowering plants still use today.

Researchers from Oregon State University and Germany published their findings on the fossils in the Journal of the Botanical Institute of Texas.

The flowers themselves are in remarkable condition, as are many such plants and insects preserved for all time in amber. The flowing tree sap covered the specimens and then began the long process of turning into a fossilized, semi-precious gem. The flower cluster is one of the most complete ever found in amber and appeared at a time when many of the flowering plants were still quite small.

Even more remarkable is the microscopic image of pollen tubes growing out of two grains of pollen and penetrating the flower's stigma, the receptive part of the female reproductive system. This sets the stage for fertilization of the egg and would begin the process of seed formation – had the reproductive act been completed.

"In Cretaceous flowers we've never before seen a fossil that shows the pollen tube actually entering the stigma," said George Poinar, Jr., a professor emeritus in the Department of Integrative Biology at the OSU College of Science. "This is the beauty of amber fossils. They are preserved so rapidly after entering the resin that structures such as pollen grains and tubes can be detected with a microscope."

"published in Nature Biotechnology, the researchers developed six types of lung and airway cells and documented evidence of basic functionality.
“Researchers have had relative success in turning human stem cells into heart cells, pancreatic beta cells, intestinal cells, liver cells, and nerve cells, raising all sorts of possibilities for regenerative medicine. Now, we are finally able to make lung and airway cells,” said study leader Hans-Willem Snoeck in a news release. “This is important because lung transplants have a particularly poor prognosis.”"

NSA Building Quantum Supercomputer

Quantum computers that can perform vast numbers of calculations simultaneously may be closer to science fiction than reality, but previously unpublished documents indicate the secretive U.S. National Security Agency is working hard to build a real quantum supercomputer, powerful enough to decode virtually every form of encryption now known."

Laymen don't understand that computers are machines doing maths. that';s all.
If the maths is advanced you need less computing.
But if the computing is advanced, you need less maths!
The greater and faster computers get, the earlier Quantum Archaeology can map the quantum world.
For human resurrections we dont need to go too far into teh quantum, and about 5 nanometres is thought to be the smallest relevant unique tracts of any human.

You can put standard parts in for less than that.

Until A.I. the future is faster computers.

Modern Europeans Hail From Three Distinct Groups

Posted Image

BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS—An analysis of the genomes of eight ancient Europeans by an international team of scientists, led by researchers at Harvard Medical School and Germany's University of Tübingen, contradicts the prevailing belief that Europeans are descendants of Middle Eastern farmers that mixed with dispersed bands of hunter-gatherers. The scientists studied DNA from seven hunter-gatherers found in Sweden and one woman found in Luxembourg, all dating to about 8,000 years ago. They found that modern Europeans are primarily made up of hunter-gatherers who migrated out of Africa 40,000 years ago, a later influx of Middle Eastern farmers, and a third population that the team named "ancient northern Eurasians," which ranged from northern Europe to Siberia. Chinese create Luminous Pigs.

Posted Image"
Guangzhou - Chinese researchers have created transgenic glow-in-the-dark pigs using jellyfish DNA in a technique first
developed by reproductive scientists at the University of Hawaii.
Researchers at South China Agricultural University (SCAU) in Guangzhou province announced late last month that 10 transgenic piglets were born in 2013. Utilizing a technique pioneered by scientists at the University of Hawaii (UH) at Manoa's John Burns School of Medicine, the Chinese team was able to quadruple the success rate at which plasmids carrying a fluorescent protein in jellyfish DNA were transferred to the embryonic piglets. The result: piglets that glow green under black light.

People can now be made luminous, and the glow theoretically made to turn on and off.

The point is to study diseases, and also the limits of engineering.

In the early 2020's Machine Intelligence will take over from men doing experiments and research. Things are very slow comparatively.

By 2027 or 2026, technology should have accelerated fast enough to accurately calculate the past to quantum levels (under 100 billionths of a metre) and resurrect the dead with microrobots as The Quantum Archaeology Grid
is mapped out, merging all known data bases and using calculation almost beyond belief in complexity today.

Neanderthal genes found in East Asian population.

Posted Image

"
About 66 percent of all Southern Chinese contain genes that can be traced back to Neanderthals, according to the results of the study. This region of DNA includes some 18 genes from the Neanderthal genome including one gene, called HYAL2, which is related to UV light (sunlight) adaptation.
The DNA segment, or region of DNA, was found to be related to cells' reaction to sunlight and could play a role in how humans have adapted to sunlight. The study also confirms that the Neanderthal traits underwent positive selection, which is how advantageous traits becomes established in a population.
The findings come during a time of huge interest in comparative evolution being used to trace genetic ancestry. On Dec 18, the most complete sequence of Neanderthal DNA was published by a team of international researchers in the journal Nature. The study was completed with DNA extracted from a 50,000 year old toe bone that belonged to a Neanderthal woman."

"A team of physicists has provided some of the clearest evidence yet that our Universe could be just one big projection
...
In 1997, theoretical physicist Juan Maldacena proposed1 that an audacious model of the Universe in which gravity arises from infinitesimally thin, vibrating strings could be reinterpreted in terms of well-established physics. The mathematically intricate world of strings, which exist in nine dimensions of space plus one of time, would be merely a hologram: the real action would play out in a simpler, flatter cosmos where there is no gravity.
Maldacena's idea thrilled physicists because it offered a way to put the popular but still unproven theory of strings on solid footing — and because it solved apparent inconsistencies between quantum physics and Einstein's theory of gravity. It provided physicists with a mathematical Rosetta stone, a 'duality', that allowed them to translate back and forth between the two languages, and solve problems in one model that seemed intractable in the other and vice versa (see 'Collaborative physics: String theory finds a bench mate'). But although the validity of Maldacena's ideas has pretty much been taken for granted ever since, a rigorous"

Quantum models in archaeology and palaeoclimatology.

"The project has made use quantum modelling and computer simulations to make substantial new contributions to the knowledge of patterns in ancient architecture and climate proxy data. The complexity of analysing the archaeological data gives insight into studying the very noisy climate data." 2012

At some point quantum calculations and quantum technology is going to be used to describe the past (mainly as quantum computers dawn in 2022, when fault errors are no longer preventative).
The calculation then possible will enable a history that is integrated...one event will link to another at all scales possible.
Nothing that has happened will be outside simulation capabilities, including raising the dead.
Extinct species are already being resurrected:

Researchers find dogs sensitive to small variations in Earth's magnetic field

Cause & Effect underpin the world. There is no part of any action that s not directly caused and interrelated to other events.

Mapping those events is being done, mainly manually by scientists. When sufficient basic mapping is completed, calculations can be made using the laws of physics, to cart the whole world present and past: including human thoughts (which are not outside the law of physics).

This enormous discovery will thunder in the human psyche as death is correctly seen as reversible.

Tutankhamen Mummified to be resurrected

and return to old religions.

"
Egypt's King Tutankhamun was embalmed in an unusual way, including having his penis mummified at a 90-degree angle, in an effort to combat a religious revolution unleashed by his father, a new study suggests.
The pharaoh was buried in Egypt's Valley of the Kings without a heart (or a replacement artifact known as a heart scarab); his penis was mummified erect; and his mummy and coffins were covered in a thick layer of black liquid that appear to have resulted in the boy-king catching fire.
These anomalies have received both scholarly and media attention in recent years, and a new paper in the journal Études et Travaux by Egyptologist Salima Ikram, a professor at the American University in Cairo, proposes a reason why they, and other Tutankhamun burial anomalies, exist.more>>>"
