I recently ordered Phenylpiracetam from new Amazon vendor LiftMode during a free product promotion posted on reddit.com/r/nootropics. Having not yet tried any of the Racetams, I seized on the opportunity and ordered 5 grams for merely the price of shipping. (So much for trying something more subtle to start.) It looks like LiftMode is really out to win customers over with a decent selection of pure product and professional service at very reasonable prices, and I just wanted to post a review of my positive experience for the Longecity community.
Shipping was incredibly fast with my order arriving Saturday via USPS after purchasing it Thursday evening. Everything was very professionally packaged with the Phenylpiracetam contained in a shrinkwrapped aluminum & glass cosmetic jar and a .15cc measuring spoon in a heavy-duty zip-lock bag. Also included was a detailed three-page certificate of analysis confirming greater than advertised 98% purity-- actually 99.2%.
I had been building my supplement stack toward the eventual inclusion of a Racetam. Having already supplemented citicoline for a month with great success, I was ready to jump right in with the Phenylpiracetam. My stack is below for reference; I try to keep it simple but effective & synergistic. I’m 31, in very athletic shape, and have battled chronic depression/anhedonia exacerbated by past alcohol use since 22 with major recent success in finally banishing it.
Tyrosine - 1000-1500 mg 30 min prior to first meal
Citicoline 500-750 mg 30 min prior to first meal
GNC Megamen Sport MV with first meal
CoQ10 - 200mg with first meal
Omega 3 Fish Oil 800EPA / 500DHA - ~1 teaspoon
Magnesium Glycinate - 400 mg divided into two doses morning/night
Perika St. John’s Wort 3% hyperforin - 300 mg 3x daily
Monster Milk Protein Supplement w/ BCAA complex & creatine- 1 or two servings before and/or after workout
Vitamin Shoppe ‘Snooze-in’ w/ 3 mg Melatonin 30 min prior to bed.
I began my Phenylpiracetam experiment on Sunday with a 100 mg dose taken sublingually until dissolved and washed down with water and juice. Initial effects set in after only about 20-30 building quickly to a rush of sustained energy then focus, waves of warm euphoria, and amazing lucidity within an hour or so. The dopamine based euphoria I experienced is the kind we seem to experience less and less over the years as we lose Dopamine receptors with age and alcohol use. For the first time in a long time, I felt highly activated and focused to do work (almost as if by invisible hand), so I set about effortless cleaning and organizing my space. The clinical findings of neuromotor activation were spot on.
The effects were noticeable and robust for a good 5 hours with very gentle tapering of the energizing & driving aspect of the chemical throughout the evening.
Subsequent doses have followed the same pattern sans the initial head rush I experienced the first few days. This is welcome as I’m not really a fan of manic states. For the sake of concision here are some other observations:
- Increased fluidity of thought and language - both written and verbal.
- Amazing, laser focus on anything I choose to work on which persists until completion. My best advice is to have some tasks planned to best utilize this aspect of the drug. Having nothing planned can be beneficial too, though, if you just have a bunch of tasks to take care of around the house or out and about. I guarantee you’ll be actively seeking things out to do.
- Increased recall. I’ve been challenging myself with remembering new words & facts and I’m pretty impressed with the results. It’s as if the last shroud of depression has been lifted. Previously St. John’s Wort and citicoline had returned my long-term memories; the Phenylpiracetam has returned my ability to quickly and effortlessly memorize new material.
- General mood elevation: St. John’s Wort established a baseline, bringing me back from the depths of depression; this provides the missing facet of mood stabilization and bright outlook.
- The purported athletic performance effects also seem to hold up. I noticed less fatigue and nearly instant ability to increase my weight lifting maximums by 10 lbs this week in all areas, and I look forward to assessing its athletic performance enhancing effects again this weekend while skiing.
- Renewed interest and enthusiasm for music with a heightened acuity for higher frequency sounds, which re-exposes the digital compression in a lot of music. I’ve had to go so far as to turn the treble down on my stereo system
- No noticeable visual acuity improvements, although I might have already have plateaued in that area using citicoline consistently.
- No noticeable internal spatial/creativity improvements so far although there has been a phenomenological increase in ideathesia/synesthesia. Being an architectural designer by profession, I’ve always been proud of my intrinsic ability to internally conceptualize 3d spaces and graphic design. Improvements are always welcome, but none yet. given Phenylpiracetam’s derivation from Piracetam with its inter-hemisperic communication improvement abilities, I remain curious as to the longer term changes and potentiations.
- Noticed some insomnia developing where I could not turn my brain off at bedtime. Today I experimented with a slightly lower dose to see if i can get attain a more favorable decay, although a new study seems to indicate that Melatonin and other hypnotic drugs’ effects may be inhibited by Piracetam and its analogs. To counteract this,I might need to try some tryptophan with my nightly glass of milk. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1574967/
- P-Piracetam’s purported effect on glucose utilization seems to hold true, as I notice my cognitive abilities are greatly enhanced by increasing intake of healthy snacks with glucose throughout the day.
- Unfortunately there is a possibility for non-responders. My good friend is also trying P-Piracetam with a similar supplement stack and tells me she has felt no effects after 5 days of supplementation. Hope remains that the longer term benefits might manifest, though.
All-in-all, I’m considerably impressed by this nootropic from LiftMode and would encourage others who suffer from anhedonia, asthenia, depression, loss of lucidity/brain fog, or just desire a cognitive edge to give this a try. We live in an age where more and more is asked of us on a daily basis, but science is also augmenting our ability to safely achieve a higher state of existence. We owe it to ourselves to work smarter, not harder and preserve our minds so we can enjoy our increasing lifespans.
Thanks again to LiftMode for their generous offer and professionalism in their efforts to become a valuable member of the community.
