Hi guys! I just received the 500 grams of Piracetam and 1g of Noopept ($42 for Piracetam + 8$ for Noopept with 10% off coupon) that I ordered last Wednesday/Thursday from New Star.

I'll testing out piracetam at 4.8g/day for a month and eating eggs if I have any headaches. If I don't feel any effects of piracetam, then I'll cut it off and try out Noopept for a month at 15-20mg/day in the morning for a month. And if still no effects, I'll try them both out or add in additional choline.

I currently take Optimum Nutrition Protein Powder (1 scoop so 23g a day?), do 30-100 push ups, 10-30 bicep curls, 5-10 bench dips a day. I also bike around 28-30 miles on Sunday. I also take a multivitamin created by BJs.

I'll be taking piracetam split into 3 separate dosages (1.6g in the morning (7:00ish), 1.6g at lunch (12/1:00ish), and 1.6g at 4/5PM) after today.

Once I get paid from my winter job, I'll go out and get some fish oil supplements, a scale, bacopa, alcar, creatine, choline citrate or bitartrate, lion's mane, and more protein powder.

For today, I'll start with 4.8g in the evening or however 3 scoops is (1.2-1.7g according to the website). Boy, does it taste really bitter (ew).

At that dose of Piracetam I wouldn't expect to feel any effects for a week or 2, and they would be very minor at that. I typically take no less than 5-10g of Piracetam in a single serving, and I consider that a small-medium dosage. Supplement manufacturers will never tell you the real dosages you should be taking if you want anything other than a minor boost.

Also instead of worrying about choline in headaches, I find that if you take Fish Oil with Piracetam on a 1:1g basis that not only will the Fish Oil enhance the clarity and synergizes with Piracetam, but Fish Oil also prevents headaches by being converted into Acetylcholine when it is needed.

When I find myself really wanting to study, focus, or just generally have energy to get stuff done more efficiently than normal, I'll take up to 20-40g of Piracetam in a day, split into either 1 or 2 doses depending on the amount.

So you would recommend that I take 5-10 grams a dosage (and take 5-10 grams of the Fish oil as well) - how many times per day? I'm on a somewhat limited budget of $200.

What about these ingredients?
Should I remove the Lion's Mane ($40 for a 2 month supply)?
Primafore Alcar 250g for $21.53

And then, with that extra money, I could perhaps buy around another 1kg of Piracetam? It seemed like Lion's Mane isn't really as popular on this forum and I don't really have the money to go for a 6 month supply to try to see if it'll work so I'm definitely considering dropping it.

I recommend you experiment. Sometimes I take only 5g of each per day, sometimes 10, sometimes 20, sometimes none at all, it just depends on how I feel, what I have to do, and how I want to be feeling. You need to experiment and get familiar with it, learn not to take it too late in the day or you wont be able to sleep well, etc. The only way you can really know how much to take it to simply experiment and become familiar with how various doses personally effect you, and use your understanding of those dosages effects to judge how much you want to take on a day to day basis.

One thing is for sure and that is always take it with Fish Oil, or else you'll be missing out on so much.

I don't know anything about Bacopa so I can't help you there.

Though I suggest that if you're unfamiliar with any supplements, don't them all at once. If you get any undesirable effects you want to be able to figure out which supplement is doing what, plus it's also good for planning your benefits, if that makes sense.

Took 4 scoops [1.2-1.4g per scoop] 3 am and put another 3g in water for usethroughput the day. My mood was a bit elevated, more than usual after exercising.

I took around 7-8g in total so far and I've noticed that I feel happier and less worried about what people think of me, but I do feel sleepy around 3-4 hours after the last dosage. I'm not sure about cognitive improvement, but if it can reduce my negative emotions,I am happy for now.

Are you taking Fish Oil with it? It's really important that you do. You'll get benefits that neither can give you on their own.

I don't have it right now, but once I get the funds, I'll buy it. So far, I've been taking 4-5 g in the morning and 4-5g throughout the day. When I interact with people, I feel a lot happier, but I seem to feel a greater need for sleep and felt more tired around 3-4PM. Yesterday, after the day ended I fell asleep at 7 pm and slept until 5. I think I might bump down the dosage to see if I can ameliorate the tiredness. Although I feel more tired after around 4 hours - I feel a lot more energetic around an hour after I take piracetam in the morning. I also notice that I have more dreams on Piracetam, though I've yet to remember them in detail.

I really like pira, especially at the start of a regime.
5g doses fitted me very good.

What I dont understand is your training routine combined with wheyprotein and future use of creatine. What's your goal with that?

I am using the whey protein as a supplement to help me build muscle and the creatine will also help with that. I want build both muscle and improve my mind in preparation for college. I'll be using these five months as a trial period to see if nootropics will work for me and if they do, I will continue usage.

Hi Siro,

I just started Piracetam as well the other day and have a log on here as well. I'm currently taking 6400 mg a day of Piracetam. I'm taking capsules and they are 800 mg each. I'm taking 4 in the morning and another 4 in the late afternoon. So your saying at these levels it can take a few weeks? I know you said to experiment, but what I want to make sure is that I will eventually get it to work at those levels? I'm assuming this is a good starting level for me? Is there an amount I should never go over? I currently bought 3 bottles with 180 pills each at 800 mg.

How will I know it's working? What are a few of the signs/benefits in your opinion?

Also, i'm not taking fish oil. I take Krill Oil instead as its suppose to be superior to Fish Oil in almost all regards so is Krill Oil okay in replacement of Fish Oil?

Thanks and your advice on this thread has been very helpful.

The tiredness is likely not because of the Piracetam. Piracetam has been known to cause insomnia if taken too close to bed. Before going to sleep, I would make sure you are well hydrated, and have eaten enough food. Piracetam is causing your brain to work harder so your reserves can be used up more quickly. I too know the tiredness you speak of, but I have found is it most often due to dehydration, or some related cause.

First of all, don't buy any more capsules. Get the bulk powder. The capsules are a HUGE RIP OFF. I get my bulk powder from http://hardrhino.com, since they no longer sell it on Amazon. Benefits should be very obvious throughout the day. 6400mg a day is an alright amount, you should feel it. I cannot tell you any particular amount that you will feel effects, because every person is different. Get a 500g bulk powder bag, and a cheap digital scale if you can, so that you have more freedom to experiment. Benefits in general should be most apparent and obvious when you are actively doing something that is engaging your brain, such as typing, or studying, or something along those lines.

I have never tried Krill Oil, so I would not know. Try getting a small bottle of fish oil and switch between the 2 every other day to see if there is any noticeable difference. You wouldn't be wasting your money either way, I'm sure they're both effective in some manner.

Thanks for the advice Siro. Yeah I'm trying it out first in capsule form to see how I like Piracetam. If it works well with me I will check out the powder. Thanks for the advice on where to get it :) What scale do you recommend if you don't mine me asking. Once again, thank you for taking the time to help me out. Much thanks

Any digital scale will do. Just look on amazon and make sure the ratings are good. You don't really need one that's overly accurate, if you're just weighing piracetam.

I took another 4-5g at around 7 PM. Piracetam is definitely lifting my mood; I feel less inhibited and more able to speak my mind.

Just ordered the fish oil, choline citrate powder, alcar, bacopa, protein powder, beta alanine, and creatine. Today, I had only around 7.5 hours of sleep compared to around 9. I still took 5g of Piracetam in the morning and 5g throughout the day, but I felt more irritated and tired though, surprisingly, I was still able to function mentally and my thoughts felt pretty fluid. I think I have enough money to get another batch of piracetam or around 200g of aniracetam. Which should I buy?

Piracetam deserves a good trial I think, because for your goals I think it fits better than ani on it's own. However, I think ani is great too, but for me, only after months of trial ani really served me well in several purposes.
Maybe, after re-reading your last post, combining ani with the pira will get rid of your downsides from pira at the moment. But the best advise is too build it slowly, first get used to pira in all his glory, only after a few weeks, when you know all the effects and pro's / cons slowly add new stuff to your stack.

And sorry if I sound rude, but if you really want to build muscle, better get some more info on building muscle and food because what you are doing now is pointless. If you want, I'll help you find some info.

Today, I decided to delay my piracetam intake for four hours after I did my daily cardio and eggs. Around an 45 minutes to an hour, as I listened to music, I felt like I was in a state of extreme euphoria and happiness as I listened to music on the bus. It seemed like I was able to better enjoy music on piracetam and as soon as the music stopped, I still had an elevated mood - but not so much as with the music on.

Holy moly... I was playing League of Legends (a strategy game) and after taking around 10 grams of piracetam (2 separate dosages 3 hours apart), my focus has been amazing. I've been winning game after game.I noticed I had faster reaction times, made better decisions in the game.

I've been taking 1.2-1.4 grams of piracetam every 2-3 hours and it seems that I haven't been able to sleep. I was focused enough to play 16 hours of video games. I have school tomorrow - or later today, so I must try to sleep now.

Avoid taking it at least 6-7 hours before you go to sleep. Sometimes I have to wait longer. If I take it too soon before bed, I can't sleep, and if I do get to sleep, it makes my sleep quality crap

Good log so far. I'm also seeing benefits from Piracetam with my log as well. I agree with Siro 100 percent. If I take Piracetam too late in evening I never get to sleep. So far I've been taking 4800 mg in the morning and another 4800 mg in the afternoon around 3:00 pm. No enhanced sounds or vision, but I'm a lot sharper, clear minded and focused. Love the log and look forward to reading more.

1:30: I fell asleep around that time; I felt pretty clear-headed and still ready to play games, but I didn't want to keep going.
7:00 AM: Woke up and I did not feel fatigued or really tired at all, which is quite surprising since I only had around 7 hours of sleep on Saturday and 5.5 hours today.

1:50 PM: I took 4-5 grams of piracetam and felt invigorated at school up until I took another dose an hour after lunch.
2:20Then, I crashed and could barely keep my eyes open for 20 minutes, and felt like I couldn't think clearly throughout my Calculus class. Is this the dreaded brain fog that people think about?

5:00 PM: I feel fine now after eating again. Perhaps, I felt like that because I deprived myself of sleep today.

Yeah, I don't feel any enhanced vision or sounds either, but I do feel more clear-headed in general.

7:00 PM: took 2-3 grams of piracetam, 5g of creatine (it arrived today), and 25g of protein powder along with Bacopa (600mg - standardized to 360mg Bacosides A&B). I want to use Bacopa alongside Piracetam to help reduce stress and increase long term memory - though I don't think it will begin to have much effect on piracetam since it seems like it takes around 12 weeks to have recognizable cognitive effects. I began working out. My dumbbells weigh 20lb each.

7:00-7:38 did around 3-4 sets of 8-10 push ups, 3 sets of 8-10 bicep curls, 4 sets of 8 dumbbell rows, 2 sets of 8 dumbbell flys, 2 sets of dumbbell press, 16 minutes of sit ups and crunches, and 1 set of 5 negative pull ups.

7:38-9:28: I went for a 3.4 mile jog.

9:28-9:40: Finished off with 3 sets of 10 squads with dummbells and 1 set of 8 push ups. Downed another 1.2-1.4g of Piracetam, 5g of Creatine, and 25g of Protein powder.

I have not been able to work out this long before; I usually gave up and played video games after around 45 minutes and definitely felt focused during my workout and jogging session. Perhaps, piracetam is helping me focus and keep myself motivated when I work out and jog.

I'm still waiting for the fish oil and the rest of my supplements to ship from Amazon.

It can most definitely increase your workout efficiency. Many people don't realize that a stronger mind correlates to better workouts. Many body builders often neglect the mind completely.

Though, I wouldn't suggest running that soon after taking your supplements, or working out. Especially when you're taking Protein with it. If I don't wait an hour before my workouts after taking a lot of supps, I will most certainly get sick to my stomach, or get cramps.

Also kind of off topic but I hope you are eating with your protein. Large amounts of protein like that takes a lot of calories to digest in general. Taking a lot of protein without some sort of other calories can cause it to burn into your muscle in order to get energy to digest it. This effect may be increased by Piracetam since it speeds up your metabolism, so I'd be wary of that.

Ahh okay, I'll remember to eat something along with protein powder. On a side note, after getting another week or two with piracetam, I want to try adding in ALCAR to see how well that works out. Good night.
