We are receiving a lot of request recently for publishing what one could call ‘SEO articles’ – short texts on a topic that contain a link to elsewhere.
The author benefits because the existence of the link boosts the external site’s search engine rating (and maybe its sales). LongeCity ostensibly benefits because it features interesting new content.
The problem is however, that these articles tend to be so trite and bland that they would be of limited interest to discerning LongeCity readers. They are usually simply rehashing common tropes such as ‘maintain an active lifestyle’ and ‘eat more fruit’.
We would not ‘feature’ such articles, and we simply don’t have time to engage in lengthy and usually unproductive editorial to-and-fro with the author who is on a clock to plaster as many SEO-relevant articles as possible across the internet.
Hence this topic, which we will now direct these request to, without further comment.
SEO-authors: Why not spend a little bit of time and get PAID to write an article that we actually want? See here for topics that we would be happy to commission.
The alternative might seem to be to open up a free forum account and post your article to an appropriate forum section. However, links are not permitted in your first few posts, so this would not be an attractive option for SEO-article plasterers.
If you think we have misjudged your query, please accept my apologies, there are too many of these requests coming in to review them all properly. Write again, and explain why the above does not apply to you.
